I agree that it feels more real. I know on my first watch the pacing of the first half got me in the wrong way. The tone was really different. I just think when it first happened wasn't a good time for me and it's perception with SGA and to a lesser extent BSG. Now though with this watch through and the boon that is Failey with SG-34 I feel I can appreciate this more. I've found the characters are far more dimensional to varying degrees, especially SGT. Greer. I much liked S2 the first time and expect to enjoy it more this time around with y'all.

2023-11-15 18:58:29 +0000 UTCI feel episodes like this are what drove people away. SG1 and SGA are so much fun where SGU is heavy and pulls you down with the crew. I enjoyed this episode more on the reaction view mostly because it ties up so many minor arcs and previous plot points. It serves as a recap episode for some of the beef this seasons. Without going into the tried and true remember this episodes from before it offers something very SGU. This series is full of emotion and weight. Sometimes you just wanna have fun. For me I enjoyed the tonal tangent destiny provides. It feels the most real of all the stargate content.
