Well, that's a wrap. Finally got around to watching these. Been a long time getting to the end of the franchise and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Come to think of it I don't think I ever even saw your S1 Buffy reactions. I started following mid S2. I get the whole "the fight never ends" angle they were going for, but I'm not as fond of the finale as a lot f people are. It would have helped if they'd made Not Fade Away a 2 parter and made taking down the black thorn feel earned, rather than the start of a few action scenes and cutting back to the aftermath later. That aspect feels rushed. Going back and revisiting some faces from the past was a nice touch, and they made decent use of Connor and left his character off in a good spot. Also ending it all behind the Hyperion where so much of the show took lace was a nice touch. I suppose if someone was going to die on screen, it would be Wesley. Ever since Fred died he hasn't really had much purpose or will to live. At least Illyria gave him some small degree of peace in his last moments. I feel bad for Lorne as well. It's one thing asking him to fight, but tasking the least violent member of the team with a cold blooded murder, I can understand why he's just done. So yeah, it's a fitting ending for Angel, but as the last piece of on screen material for a franchise, it is rather anticlimactic. Still, been fun following along with you the past 4 years. Looking forward to seeing what you pick up next.
