Aside from not just dumping you in the middle of the story, you get a much, much better sense of the world and who the major players are, as well as who the cast is and their various dynamics. Also didn't realize Joss wrote the theme song. Looking forward to seeing the rest. And yeah, that has got to be the most orgasmic strawberry bite ever.

2023-06-20 09:05:51 +0000 UTCMy understanding is that the Fox execs thought the pilot was too dark among other things... so they made Joss write a new one... which he had to do over a weekend in order to have the script ready in time to be shot. What you get is Train Job... which is a fine episode... but certainly not as deep or captivating as the actual pilot.
