I love that Agam Darshi appears in this episode as Novo. She played an athosian before and appears in SGU as well. She also plays a main role in Amanda Tapping's show "Sanctuary" (which you should react to btw).

2023-10-25 13:12:50 +0000 UTCI'm gonna be honest, just looking thought the episode descriptions for S5, I just could not remember this episode. It came back to me after 15 minutes or so, mostly because of "Dwight", but it's not great when I could pretty clearly recall all the other 19 S5 eps from their descriptions(all of which I only saw once before) and not this one. More Carson and Savage Shep are always welcome, but it just doesn't really advance things all that much. I did have a though while watching this though. There's a pretty effective strategy that could be used against the wraith that would require no great weapons or ships. I don't know how many humans are in Pegasus, but Earth's few billion people seemed like a game changer for the wraith in the pilot. Assuming the hive ships carry let's say 50k crew and the cruisers maybe a couple thousand, and given 60 hives and maybe a few hundred cruisers, we're talking about only a few million wraith who need to feed probably once a month or so while active(plus they were woken early so there aren't enough humans to feed them). What about just evacuating the Pegasus humans to the Milky Way? Most MW planets seem to be a small group of villages or single town near the gate. Plenty of room for refugees to build new settlements. Having to pack up and move and build a new house seems a small price to pay to never have to deal with the Wraith again. They'd have to rebuild the Midway and the rest of the gate bridge, and it would take years at least, but long before they were done the infighting would have been accelerated, and potentially they could return some years later after the starving wraith were mopped up.

2023-05-26 02:04:19 +0000 UTCMy friend Sarah is back! She was the villager who was arguing in defense of protecting the plague survivors. Last time you saw her was SG-1 Season 6, "Forsaken," when she played Tanis and she was conning Jonas into letting her steal gate addresses. Big change in character for her here. 😁 But it made me happy you made a point of mentioning how the villager characters really sold the episode. They gave a lot more time to "Dwight," obviously, but she really put a ton of emotion into her character.
