Yeah that's true. She's definitely the type to take things that Sam absolutely wouldn't, lol. I can see Vala having things like an eyelash curler, make up, hair products (she's probably got some brushes and some hair spray), along with her hair dryer and curling iron. But that's one of the goofy things I like about her. 😂 Seeing how she dressed previous to being in the SGC shows she's totally okay with being uncomfortable in order to look faaaabulous.

I mean I guess she could one of those big battery backup power bricks, which would just add to how frivolous she is in packing her gear. I mean that's a lot of weight and bulk to lug around on the off chance you need to dry your hair.

the largest plothole in this ep imo is that they had Adria basically defenceless, and they still didnt yeet her into that abyss... sure.. she would have survived, but.. good luck climbing back up!

I'm gonna be honest, The Quest overall ranks fairly low on my list of SG1 2 parters. Just doesn't really do it for me. Granted that's mostly due to the slow pace in this one. It's important, sure, and Ba'al is always a fun addition, but something about the execution just doesn't grab me the same way as Lost City, Reckoning, Moebius, Redemption, Avalon/Origin, Camelot/Flesh and Blood or some of the earlier 2 part eps. I'm sure many disagree. The time trap triggers me every time I see it, because even on first viewing, within seconds of them stating what's going on, I was thinking "just grab handfuls of sand and throw it in a spread". Just a super obvious solution. As LETS F'Ning GOOOO!!! said, the dagger Ba'al had to give up is heavily hinted to be the one he used to torture Jack with back in Abyss. There's no real confirmation of that, but if true, it points to this being the original Ba'al. Something really confuses me though. Vala ends up sacrificing a hair dryer(there's actually a deleted scene where she swaps it for a curling iron). But I gotta ask, where exactly was she expecting to plug it in? Even if they were going to a world with electricity, she's hardly going to find a compatible wall outlet.
