I remembered there was a cancer arc, I just didn't remember the details after this long, but I'm finding that its a lot better than I originally thought. I guess when you watch these things later in life as an adult, then you did when you were younger you interpret it differently.

2022-09-10 08:28:51 +0000 UTCAs I said on discord, this is one arc of the show I had completely forgotten, perhaps I just didn't appreciate as a kid, but I'm glad because I'm rediscovering it now. These past few episodes have been among the best arcs of the series just purely for the artistry of the episodes. There have certainly been some arcs that were more outright exciting and had these grand plot elements, whereas this cancer arc is a smaller, character focused story. Still, the artistry is fantastic recently, and I'm looking forward to rediscovering how this arc ends.

2022-09-10 06:41:58 +0000 UTCIt really shows how much Skinner cares about Mulder and Scully, he was willing to take that off Mulder's shoulders and put it on his own to go to the Cigarette smoking man and pay a price, for the cure. In the beginning of the series you just saw him as an antagonist, but he has really proven himself as someone they can trust.
