After all, we are paying him.

I always think of his potential and that's why sometimes I'll question if something else is going on when he's not exactly treating it as a full time job based on the income he's getting from Patreon. I just worry for him. 😟 The last thing I want is for him to lose great opportunities.

2022-04-29 12:28:11 +0000 UTCAh, yeah I'm on an anti-depressant too and a few different anxiety medications. It can take a while to find the right anti-depressant that actually works as well. I had to go through like 5 different medications (like Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, etc) until I found one that didn't make me sick or crazy. Not to be TMI, just that I get it. But it took me like over 15 years to finally find one. I still deal with depression and I have PTSD and a serious anxiety disorder, but finding anything that helps can be a pain in the ass.

2022-04-29 12:15:38 +0000 UTCor maybe this time will be a daily double and have a 2 episode one this time ? but either way I miss the time ago when failwhale came out with episodes on patreon every 2 or days and also had edited uploads on youtube new every month that way when I got done watching his patreon ones I could move over and watch the uploaded new ones on his youtube too carry me over till the next upload day . any way just a thought! I just miss faily mc whaly updates on patreon or youtube that he used too tell us with a message or somthing if he didn't have any content in at least 4 or 5 days so at least we would'nt be worried what happened and cause me too look on all his social media twitter, facebook, instagram, youtube, twitch for updates but there are know updates in years or months . thanks all

2022-04-29 11:22:50 +0000 UTCFinally found some time to watch this episode. There is an aspect of humanizing the wraith in this episode. Up till now they've mostly just been boogeymen. You accept they have no remorse and exist purely to feed. Even the vampires in Buffy can evoke more sympathy because at least they can have human like personalities. Aside from Gordon Wraithsey a few eps back, they've been mindless killers for the most part. While the need to feed on humans is purely nature, Ellia shows us their callousness to feeding on humans is more a matter of nurture. In a way it's worse that Zaddik rescued her. He nurtured her to have a moral compass and not want to hurt anyone, but that was in direct contradiction to her nature. If the other one had taken her and raised her as a wraith, she wouldn't have that perspective and we'd feel no more sympathy for her than we did for the other one. Also some have mentioned that the actress who played Ellia was Jewel Staite. When she was 13 she played the girl who got kidnapped in the X Files episode Oubliette. She was best known for Firefly around this time though. The real interesting implication of this episode though is the possibility of a retrovirus that can turn wraith into humans. Obviously it doesn't work, but imagine if it did. I feel like most people would still want to kill the former wraith. Hell the wraith themselves might want it. Imagine threatening wraith with becoming the next meal if they screw up(especially given the shortage of humans)? Then again might a wraith feeding on someone who took the retrovirus absorb some themselves? That's giving me flashbacks to the end of Daybreakers, if anyone knows that movie. At any rate could be a potent weapon in the war against the wraith.

I can only observe his actions from this side of the Internet, and I can only say what I would do, were I in his place. I would love to have this many Patreons paying me this much money. But I can't seem to make much headway at the moment, my own YouTube channel has been "stuck" at the same subscriber rate for several years now. I have ambition for more.

I've dealt with depression for over a decade. It can absolutely wreck motivation, even for things that seem like they should be a top priority. If the upload rate isn't worth the money to you, nobody would blame you for taking a month or 2 off. Otherwise best to leave him be.

2022-04-28 21:26:36 +0000 UTCI don't know what he does outside reactions, but (and sometimes people get combative when bringing this point up) if you take just his lowest tier of $10, and multiply it by 700+ subs, that's over $7,000 a month, and some people like me do the higher $15 tier, so potentially he makes, even more, granted Patreon maybe takes a cut, and then taxes, but he's walking away pretty good here. You'd think, with that kind of fan base, more time and attention would be spent on it, since that is your primary income. I think he has the potential to do so much more, but it does feel like he is not putting this first, and there is something else that takes his attention. If it were me though, I would give it all my attention, because with potential like that I would want to make things even better and I'd definitely feel like my audience comes first. It's his audience that makes this happen for him and if I had a large audience like this paying me I'd be sure they get priority! But right now, it just feels like he's treating this as a part time gig, even though he's making a lot more money than a lot of people that work full time. I would treat this job as my full time job, if it were me. Just remember, we pay his salary. If the fans aren't happy, they tend to go away.

Just seems like he's really busy with something else? 🤷🏻♀️ Sorta feels like this is all a backseat to whatever else he's doing the rest of the week. Would make sense if he's doing some other work, but if not, no idea why this wouldn't be a main focus? Not trying to be bitchy, btw. 💕 Miss his old whiteboard in his old setup that said something like "Don't say, just do!" in the background..lol

2022-04-28 18:32:00 +0000 UTCI'm not getting my hopes up, this one released above was just a few days ago, as he was late with it, and thus he is also very late with all of this past weeks videos as well, missing stuff like farscape, buffy, etc.... so... I think we just have to accept the fact he's going to be continuing to lag behind, and we just have to hope we get a few videos every week. Since he just released SGA and SG1 a few days ago, I wouldn't expect the next batch for several days, or a week, unless he just skips the other shows, but... I'm still waiting on him to catch up with the other shows too for this week, so /shrug I dunno. At this point I just check everyday and if something is up then I get excited, but I've learned to not expect anything, if I keep my expectations low, then I can't be disappointed :p

I made a comment in the Condemned episode about that one wraith that ate food and questioned how their digestive systems still worked all these years after evolving their energy-sucking hand stuff because I TOTALLY FORGOT that they explained that in this episode. I have no idea how I forgot! Makes sense though that if there are wraiths who are that small like the female in this episode, that they wouldn't be able to hunt for food (people) themselves and if abandoned somewhere, would have to fend for themselves until they were old enough to attack people. No idea how I forgot that part in this episode 😂 As for the episode itself, I find it quite sad. Raised in the right conditions, they can obviously have emotions like regular people and can feel guilt and love, so I found it really sad she wanted to not kill people so badly even though she needed to to survive, that she took that medicine that ultimately ended her life and killed her "father" in the process. :( Also: Good job faily for predicting she was feeding off her father so early in the episode, even though you thought you were wrong a little bit later. You still ended up being right! I remember the first time I saw this episode I was very surprised because the thought hadn't occurred to me at all. Looking forward to the next SGA ep!
