26:00 (Normal Again) - the moment when Dawn became #1 most disliked character on the show. Her sister is sick, suffering and this selfish bitch is angry at her, because the psychotic hallucination is not to her liking. 35:13 - wow, suddenly, when she is in actual danger, Dawn begins to care about what's happening to Buffy. And that "I need you and I love you" was really pathetic - apparently saying "I love you" is reserved by Dawn only for personal gain.

Regarding episode 17, there are some very strong parallels between this episode and a couple of Star Trek DS9 eps. They even did the whole ambiguous ending that makes you wonder if the show we've been watching all along is actually a dream world. The mental institution, a doctor telling the MC they have to betray/erase the people in their "delusion", not knowing which is real. Very similar ideas. Fun concept, but I'm not too find of calling into question the internal reality of the entire series. This is more the kind of plot that works better in a stand alone story like a movie. Ep 18 though, there's not really much more to say. What an absolute train wreck all around, for everyone. Pretty permanent damage done on several fronts. Only bright spot at all was Tara and Willow reconciling.

Ok now on to EP 18: Not much else to say that you haven't, at least it's completely out of the bag now about Buffy and Spike, so we don't have to worry about that secret anymore, we can move on from that. And you can't really blame spike, he is a vampire without a soul, so he's just doing what he knows. And we also now really have confirmation that Anya is a Vengence Demon once again, so that is confirmed. I think Buffy is finally back on track, took a while, and now it also seems like Willow and Terra are on track. It finally looks like positive things moving forward.

My comments on EP 17: I love this ep because it's that classic trope: "it's all a dream" or is it all on your head? That sort of thing. Is the whole Buffy'verse just in her head, a delusion, and she's really in a mental institution? It draws on our own thoughts sometimes of "is this all real?" You could get really deep on the psychology here, but it's a cool concept to explore. Oh, and the comment the doctor said about a year ago she snapped out of it, that lines up with when she died at the end of Season 5, so that's a cool way to make it feel like the institution world is the real world. On to the next episode now....

Buffy Season 6 was always a hard season to watch when I was growing up as a teenager, but now that I'm in my early 30's I get it now.

Eddie

I'm so glad you're enjoying the season. It's very misunderstood, so I always appreciate when a person gets it. It's all chaos from here.

Marshall Dante Robertson

I'm still chuckling at "semen".

Ashley

Looking forward to the reactions, thanks. It gonna get gud :o
