Mulder's little scream when seeing the "alien" cracks me the hell up every single time I see it. I'm not a "laugh out loud by myself" person when watching stuff, but with that scream and a few other things in future episodes, I will literally almost wake people up because it gives me the giggles that won't stop.

This one feels like The X Files' version of Wormhole X-Treme, not just in the self parody aspect, but also the theme of "hiding the truth in plain sight". You gotta love when a show can lampoon itself like this. Honestly though I can't say I found the "aliens" at the beginning scary, since they kinda just looked stoned to me. Unfortunately, this is the last episode Darin Morgan wrote after Humbug, Clyde Bruckman, and War of the Coprophages. Definitely a writer of......unique talent. Shame he didn't write more. So many great moments in the episode; Scully being embarrassed at doing an autopsy on an alien suit, Mulder eating an insane amount of pie, "Roswell, Roswell", "I'm a republican", buddy describing Scully as a cross dresser and Mulder as a "mandroid", the detective censoring his own swear words in real time, the list goes on. The one that really caught me off guard though was Mulder's ridiculous little scream when he saw the body.🤣 Yeah, what more can you say? This is top tier 90s TV.
