Well there was Kowalski and that town in nightwalkers. If you implant too many regular people you risk discovery. The trust had access to high level military and political figures. They need to work from the top down.

A rushed episode, they tried to cram a lot into one ep, I think it would have worked better as a 2 parter. You have to wonder why the Goa'uld have never tried to infiltrate Earth by way of implanting symbiotes, to me, it seems like a perfect scheme. It took till now for them to even try that tactic. I guess they are desperate. It is a scary thought though. Reminds me of the Founders storyline in DS9.

Lol! Loved your comment about you giving it 10 years before the Stargate is revealed as real in our real life! As a totally unapologetic "conspiracy theorist" myself, I think it's absolutely possible a real life Stargate could be real. Especially considering the military advisors on the show, which were for making the Airforce stuff realistic - maybe that wasn't their only purpose. What got me thinking about it (besides all of the many theories about real life stargates in general) was the Wormhole X-Treme episode. Which, in the show, was to make anyone who talked about the Stargate seem crazy and like they'd only gotten the idea from the tv show - the same could be applied to real life and *this* show. I mean, the CIA came up with the term "conspiracy theorist" and made it sound like a bad thing (which continues to this day) so anyone who questioned the Kennedy assassination would be discredited immediately and made to seem like an unstable person for simply thinking of other possibilities. And it's not as if our governments, all of our governments, haven't lied about many things before. It's not like they'd just stop. All of this is just my opinion though! I like to keep an open mind and stay on my toes. 😉
