2022-01-20 23:41:55 +0000 UTCActually wow. My first thought was.... They just saved this episode with Arthur's confession scene. But I then reframed my thought as. This actually panned out to be a much better episode, once everything fully played out as intended. Because just a minute previous. I was literally yelling why at the screen. π€£ Trying to understand why Arthur had even gone to face possessed Elyan alone. Having Merlin point it out didn't help the situation. π€£ It's the greatest feeling to be proved wrong when you are willing a show to be better. Hoping for ππ» more like this episode. Help me to have more patience and faith while things play out. This established rinse and repeat formula had eroded my expectations.

2022-01-20 17:05:53 +0000 UTCWow, that actually ended up being a really powerful episode at the end. Bradley James gave a great performance in that scene. It's good development for Arthur's character to face his past and the things he did trying to impress his father. It's setting him up to be a more just king than Uther and showing his softening stance on magic. S4 is really making up for the stagnation of the first 3 seasons.
