It was a great reaction / review video to the two-parter as a whole. but as I said on Discord, I would much prefer it the way you did it with some earlier two-parters, and that is, commenting each individual episode. I don't know about others but I watch your videos to see your reaction, how much you enjoy the show, and your thories/speculations/expectations. If, after such an amazing cliffhanger like in "Piper Maru", I don't get any commentary whatsoever, I find that to be a bit disappointing. Just telling it how I feel it. For me it is irrelevant if you publish both parts at once or the second part one week later, the only point is, I'd love to know, after the ending of part one, how you felt about that specific episode, and your thoughts/expectations about what's to come. Either way, still a very enjoyable reaction to an amazing mythology two-parter.

lmao, I had to wind it back there too. Smooth af transition

Great couple of episodes and reactions, however this non sequitur nearly had me do a spittake, especially because I looked away for a second. "This can't be good if he's radioac... if he's got this thing in him... That's a lot of chest hair." :D Number 1 symptom of radiation sickness is excessive chest hair?

Such a petty thing to fire someone over, huh? I was reading a list of people who showed up in X Files before they made it big, and when I saw Buble's name I had this "wait, what" moment. Ryan Reynolds was the bigger surprise though.

The monster of the week or the more comedy oriented X Files eps are great, but I think the mythology episodes are where the show truly stands out as being unique, and these 2 are possibly the best mythology episodes up till this point IMO. First we have our typical grey aliens, then the green toxic blood shapeshifters, and now we got oily goa'ulds(which I guess is just Anubis). And we still don't have a concrete answer as to where this secret group that Cancer Man is part of fits in. It was pretty cool seeing Mulder's dad and Cigarette Man working together back in the day(even if William B Davis dubbing over a much younger version of the character felt off). I wonder who the 3rd man was supposed to be? Deepthroat maybe? It's also interesting that the bright flash causing radiation burns is very similar to what we saw way back in S1's Fallen Angel. As I said a couple episodes back, Michael Buble is actually an extra during the flashbacks on the sub, long before his musical career took off. He was fired for taking a hot dog and told he'd never work in show business again. Guess that didn't stick, and also seems rather extreme. A man's gotta eat. Also fun bit of trivia, the Piper Maru is named after Gillian Anderson's daughter born during the S2 episodes she was away for following Scully's abduction. As for Krycek, the guy is a bastard, but far too entertaining an antagonist to kill off this early. Nice touch leaving Nicholas Lea's name till the end credits to save the surprise. I was wondering how they achieved the effect of oil coming out of his eyes and mouth as it looked practical. Apparently it was much as I imagined. They created a prosthetic that was basically a duplicate of his face and ran tubes through his hair and down his back to pipe the goop through. Apparently it took quite a while to apply and was rather uncomfortable with him having to breathe through a straw. Nicholas was none too happy that everyone broke for lunch just after getting him into the thing. I really enjoyed how much ground they covered in this episode, having Mulder and Scully finding out so much through their separate investigations, as well as Krycek returning and Skinner getting shot for his persistence. There were so many story threads from throughout the past nearly 3 seasons all weaved together in this 2 parter. The writers really used everything in the toolbox.

Did you catch Michael Buble in the flashback scene? He recently did an interview about working on the show. He was fired for taking food from craft services, and someone apparently yelled at him that he'd never work in show business again. πŸ˜„

Subnautica is an amazing game. The Devs have been a bit lazy though. Theres some pretty annoying bugs in the original they claim they will be fixing soon but their focus was on putting out the new game which has been out for months at this point without any bug or quality of life fixes. Its your basic survival game just underwater with a bit of story in there. Definitely not a game for someone whos freaked out by the ocean though. I love the ocean and the atmosphere of those kinda games but yea probably not something that would be as fun IRL.
