My rating for this episode is ‘meh’. I don’t like magic in sci-fi so obviously this type of episode isn’t my favorite. I also didn’t feel there was a need to further establish Jonas’ worth to the team at this point. I did enjoy some of the action in the visions and Mot was entertaining. I also thought those shields with slits to fire through used in the gate room were a good idea and probably something they should use more often. You never know when an SG team member might get taken over by a Goa’uld thus giving the enemy valid codes. Speaking of IDC codes, it would’ve been a good idea to give all SG team members a second IDC code for use when in distress. They could give that code if they’re ever tortured for information and the SGC will know not to open the iris when they get it and invalidate the real IDC for that team.

I guess when I first saw this episode I didn't like it all too well, didn't really seem to have any pay offs. He could see the future for a short time, then it was taken away. So we left off where we started? The only thing it did I guess was help solidify his position in the team, but I don't think we really needed that again. It's an ok ep, and Mot was cool, but otherwise, meh.

This is by far my favorite season 6 episode. Love the whole Story arc. :)

I quite liked Mot. The way he was written and the way his actor played him. He definitely had some sort of flair, and his smile was something else. Too bad he died so quickly. Would've liked to see him again once or twice!

Lady Beyond The Wall

I'd like to note that Sam is not correct when she says quantum mechanics means the future is not pre-determined. It just means that we, humans, will never be able to see it. We cannot have enough information. That means the future is *effectively* random from our perspective, but it doesn't mean it's actually not predetermined by physics. It still very much could be.

Koala Banana

I always liked Lord Mott, the actor always gave him a memorable flair, many of the most memorable goa'ulds are one off appearances tbh.

I like this episode. It's basically the end of Jonas's arc. He's been accepted and accepted that he has proven himself.

For some reason a lot of people seem to dislike this episode, which I don't really get. It's not a particular standout, but it's hardly bad IMO. Decent payoff on Metamorphosis, and I do like that Jonas is getting the focus a bit more now. This idea that he still has to prove himself after what happened to Daniel and that he still hasn't forgiven himself. I also like how everyone is assuring him that he is in fact a valuable member of the team. Especially O'Neill's "we need you out there" was great to see, considering where those 2 started off. Mot had a fair bit of swagger for a goa'uld, and I kinda wish we'd gotten another ep or 2 out of the character. But it's SG1, and they already have the other 3 mainstays(Ba'al, Anubis, Yu) that were mentioned in this episode, also Osiris is still kicking around. Once you get past 3-4 main goa'uld characters, the rest of them are basically just there for SG1 to take out. The odds just weren't in old Mot's favor. Mot makes an even 10 major goa'uld SG1 has taken down(or had a part in taking down). I do rather like how the ambush kept you guessing. First we see the assault on the SGC after the team was killed, then we see the team getting killed, then we see Hammond trying to warn them apparently causing the ambush, and at the last moment that the alarm gave it away. I thought that was written fairly cleverly so as to keep you guessing. Decent episode.
