Great reaction, your analysis at the end is spot on, really loved you recognizing the new territories bit, everything is a new territory for Buffy. Amazing after 5 seasons they can still keep it fresh and expand into new things. I always get a laugh out of Xander calling Riley Captain America. So the snake could see the Key's true form, in reality, snakes have poor eyesight, but they have this ability to boost their sight at times. Anyway, Buffy stopped it just in time to let Glory know what the Key is now. However, notice Willow recognized the snake was afraid of Dawn and asked why it was afraid of her. They are starting to catch on that something else is going on. And we all feel for Joyce, what a sad thing, but it seems maybe they caught it in an early stage? Oh and the bit about Riley getting bit, I think he wanted to feel what it was like to get bitten by a Vampire, to feel that thrill to in some way connect with what Buffy is attracted to.
