I took it as meaning no relationship is perfect, and there will be arguments and times they don't agree on things, sometimes you do make your partner angry. I think he's admitting he can't deal with that, that while he mostly has his wolf under control, he doesn't completely, and there's a chance anytime she upsets him he would wolf out.

Buffy doesn't do this a lot... but Alyson Hannigan is amazing so I'm glad they gave her this. She really nailed it. The only thing I don't like in this episode is when Willow says to Oz "It was my fault. I upset you". His response "I guess we're safe, cause youll never do that again". Awful. IDK what the writer was thinking... so unless we're trying to use this as a metaphor for abusive relationships (which I really dont think it was) that line just comes off as victim blaming.

2021-05-20 19:02:07 +0000 UTCI think it was hinted with vampire Willow from the wish dimension that she was also into girls (at least her vamp self was anyway) I also read somewhere that they were initially thinking of making Xander gay (instead of Willow) - which could have made his 'gay panic' in earlier seasons slightly less icky - but the idea of him and Anya became so popular.

He's an excellent character and had a beautiful relationship with Willow, there was no need to spoil that in order to get the fans to root for her with someone new.

2021-05-19 19:55:53 +0000 UTCThis episode is pretty much the confirmation the audience needed that Willow and Tara are now in a relationship, sure it was implied before, but I see this episode as Willow really finally making it a fact. It was also closure for Oz for sure, now we can feel like that has a proper conclusion, which gives Willow permission to move on, something I think she was waiting for. As for the Riley stuff, I saw it coming a mile away, it seemed like they were moving in that direction, but it did happen all at once kinda in this episode, but they have so few episodes left this season I guess they had to kinda hurry that plot along. That's fine, it keeps the chess pieces moving.

2021-05-19 19:02:55 +0000 UTCThere are a number of scenes that reliably make me tear up, and the last scene of this episode is one of them. (Also, the "Class Protector" scene last season)
