2021-05-12 20:31:30 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed this episode. I was pretty sure it's a double-sized episode, because it was PACKED. Also, Mr. X = optimized Mulder just killed me.

2021-05-11 00:20:38 +0000 UTCGreat recovery coming off the last episode. This one is just fantastic. So much character development all around. A lot of great performances from the whole cast and the guest stars. Even Cancer Man had a bit of development. The biggest leap for me was Skinner though. In terms of complexity this episode took him from a 3 to an 11 IMO. Anyway, the X Files are reopened and Scully is back. On top of that Mulder is kind of leveling up as well in terms of understanding the game. It's been a while, but I think this was where the series started to really get good.

2021-05-10 15:19:41 +0000 UTCGreat ep! Watching this reminded me how much you need to see 'Twin Peaks'. It has several actors you like and is just... insane!

2021-05-10 12:57:31 +0000 UTCWhat a change from the last episode isn't it. Amazing how you can go from one crappy episode to a 5 star episode right next to each other. But it does show the amazing potential of the show right here. I mean, the show didn't go on for as long as it did for nothin :p Yeah, this was a great episode, and Skinner is becoming a major likable character. And you gotta love "Cancer Man" for just how manipulative and evil he is. BTW, when I watched this growing up, everyone called him "The Cigarette Smoking Man" specifically. That's what he was known as. And yes, cigarette machines existed, they were once all over, but have disappeared in the wake of the no-smoking thing catching on and places becoming smoke-free zones more and more, as it has waned in social acceptance, so have such things lessened, but you probably could still find a few out there.

2021-05-10 06:17:58 +0000 UTCAnother one of my favoruite episodes. So many great, touching moments of vulnerability, even from Skinner. And what a treasure Don S Davis was. That scene where he spoke to Scully made me tear up in seconds.

2021-05-10 05:02:38 +0000 UTCThey have teased it before but this episode really hammers home that Assistant Director Skinner is my personal MVP for the series. I grew up with this show and he has always been my favorite.
