I really like the episode. The demon is correct. The scariest thing in the world are evil people.

They did say social services were going to handle him, so it's not as if he was being thrown into jail.

I don’t think this episode was mistaken to reflect that horrible reality. I just wish that in real life and on screen this would have been handled differently.

2021-04-21 20:22:23 +0000 UTCThis episode always reminds me of a Supernatural (another CW show) episode. Neat twist as well, the boy is just a maniac, a Charles Manson if you will, just got a black heart for whatever reason, so much that it was the Demon that wanted to escape. That's an interesting twist that made the ep more interesting, if not, it would have just been run of the mill.

2021-04-21 20:11:10 +0000 UTCWell, it's a TV show, and sometimes real-world policing and how these things are handled in real life aren't done correctly on TV shows. I mean, they basically just need to get the major beats done, get to a point where the story wraps up enough for the A-plot, and move on to the next episode. So of course things aren't shown 100% how it would really be done, cause that would just be boring to watch.

2021-04-21 20:09:25 +0000 UTCIt wasn’t a crime scene. What was the crime? Who was charged? That’s why I question the police being involved and a very disturbed, young boy being treated like a criminal. I get Angel calling Kate for her help with getting Social Services involved. I get these parents not wanting to accompany their child downtown, but shouldn’t that have seemed odd to Kate? I guess Angel must have explained everything to Kate, who obviously wasn’t happy with being dragged into another one of Angel’s supernatural situations.

2021-04-21 17:38:12 +0000 UTCMaybe Kate didn't want to bring more people than necessary to a crime scene? It's probably also a good idea to search the boy, in case he likes blades as much as matches.

2021-04-21 17:07:42 +0000 UTCWas there really a need to take an emotionally disturbed child away from his parents in the back of a police car like a criminal? Couldn’t Kate have stayed with the family until someone from Social Services arrived?

2021-04-21 14:14:22 +0000 UTCOoh, this is a good one. Nice exorcism story with a twist. For some reason I thought it was in s5. I also appreciated the callbacks to Doyle.

2021-04-21 10:57:09 +0000 UTCCool twist I really like the pairing of Cordelia and Angel, like they said in the 1st episode, he needs someone to bring out the more human side of him, and it was shown at the start of this episode where she called him out on how he is dealing with Doyle's death.
