it's not an uncommon opinion. The execution wasn't the best, and it does veer away from the signature supernatural/demon angle

I give it points for trying something different(though the Mayor is still probably my favourite of the show's villains), and I appreciate that they acknowledge that the government/military is so completely moronic in the Buffyverse as to have no clue as to all the significant supernatural goings on. Also "aftertastelessness" is a solid addition the the growing list of adorable Willowisms

Where the heck is the spoiler? Did I give away an upcoming plot twist? Seeing as barely remember anything I fail to see how that is possible. FFS is right.

2021-04-10 20:55:51 +0000 UTCI gotta say, those fake soldiers and that old woman were the WORST things to happen to Buffy. Grinded the entire series to a halt for over a season. So disappointing. I do not remember when that embarrassing storyline ends but hopefully it is soon.

2021-04-10 18:31:00 +0000 UTCBet you didn't expect Professor Walsh to be killed so soon heh, pretty surprising this early on. She definitely setup Buffy to get killed, of course that is too easy. That sex scene cut away is the first time they've had sex, I think, so that was why it was special. Also remember that Faith said (and Buffy agreed) that after slayin it kinda makes you horny, or at least all hot and bothered :p So that makes sense that after that fight she's be horny. So we've now met Adam (aka Floppy Disk Dude) you'll see what I mean :p It looks to me like he is part human, demon and robot.

2021-04-10 17:38:06 +0000 UTCI like your analysis and agree with the points you made. I really like the theme in this season of the group being torn apart and having their separate interests. It's also showing that Buffy is indeed the Slayer and SHE ALONE was called. It's often what does happen post-high school with the friend group. Will they go their separate ways or do they find their way back to the cohesive group they once were?
