On to season five! Soon we'll be halfway through the show. :D I agree, Teal'c and Sam have the least time together, which is a pity because they have a really sweet mutually supportive relationship. They have a few scenes in the black hole episode, but there are more coming up. Looking forward to the next one!

Alright, finally here!! Such a great 2 parter. These eps were a massive victory for Earth. Up till now only 7 ha'tak have been destroyed on the show, and only 2 of those could be credited to Earth(and even then Bra'tac helped). 3 more were destroyed by the Tollan(with Teal'c personally firing the ion cannon at the 3rd), 1 by the tok'ra(Sokar's), and one by Apophis(Heru'ur's), though SG1 helped set up those last 2. In one show they took down 13, and with Apophis' and Cronus' ships the total is up to 22. Still a small chunk of the overall goa'uld fleet, but a big step for a newcomer on the galactic stage like Earth. The biggest victory though is taking down Apophis. Granted it's scifi and there are a ton of loopholes that could bring him back, but unlike "Serpent's Lair" where the audience saw him escaping and "Serpent's Song" where Martouf flat out said he'd be revived, he seems to have been straight up vaporized here. Sarcophagus won't fix that. Assuming it holds, that means the 3 most powerful system lords(Apophis, Crunus, Heru'ur) have all been killed in the span of a few months. Given Ren'al's conversation with Hammond it seems the tok'ra believe the power vacuum is enough to fracture the larger goa'uld empire as smaller system lords vie for power and fight each other. IIRC Yu is the only powerful system lord left at this point that we know of. So it seems for the time being that the threat of 1 all powerful goa'uld that's been present since Sokar appeared has been averted. This is also the first time we've seen Daniel using the P90. He's come a long way from the geeky, allergic to everything archaeologist we met in the movie to Mr. Action Man now. He's been hitting the gym, he's been hitting the range, he's been taking lessons in snark from O'Neill, and he's ready to kick some replicator ass. Regarding the tok'ra plan to move the stargate, I don't understand why they'd need the a mothership to do it. A cargo ship should do the job. Granted they'd have to take out some walls like in Serpent's Venom, and probably dismantle and rebuild part of the hull to get it inside, but that should be doable for the tok'ra. And that's assuming it can't just fly through hyperspace with the gate strapped to the underside. Also they could just use one of the gate addresses from the ancient database from Fifth Race that the goa'uld don't know about. Speaking of the tok'ra, I love Jacob and O'Neill's banter about whether they're gonna make it or not, especially that last "I don't wanna say". He's just done with the drama. Regarding Teal'c being brainwashed, it seems to go beyond what was done to Rya'c, especially since Jacob said "getting his mind back won't be so easy". Like you said the sarcophagus no doubt played a role, but if it were as simple as zatting him to neutralize a drug, they'd have done it. Lastly this episode introduced possibly my favourite goa'uld ship design. Always thought the al'kesh was pretty damn sleek. It feels a little under armed with just the one turret(and those bomb things), and I'd probably put a couple more on the wing tips if I designed it, but it's still a cool ship.

the convo between teal'c and tanith is some all time GOATed dialogue in SG for me, oh my fucking god, tanith was saying some insane shit and teal'c wouldn't bite, when he said "you are attempting to goad me into killing you" i started dying, his face, so good rofl

Because Dropbox only lets you watch an hour and SG eps are usually 40 some minutes, so this only happens when he does double episodes. The whole thing will be up on the google drive link but it takes a bit for it to upload, so you have to download if you want to watch immediately. I know that probably sucks for people who can't or don't want to download it or wait til google drive uploads it all, but personally, I never complain about a double bubble lol 😂
