2021-03-06 13:33:35 +0000 UTCCool, I was just wondering in general about removing spoilery comments though. I was guilty of it from time to time myself when I first joined on patreon. There have been plenty of others as well.

2021-03-06 04:27:16 +0000 UTC@Timothy Nikiforovs and others - The matter has been settled on FailWhale's Discord. I've apologized there, and am apologizing here now as well, for posting spoilers. I am sorry. I've talked to several moderators and have also contacted FailWhale directly. It was not my intent to break the rules, I was sincerely thinking I wasn't breaking them. It's a long story, it just really took longer for me to figure it out for various reasons, but in the end I did indeed realize that my posts should be different. After discussing the matter thoroughly on Discord I have decided to review each and every post of mine and edit/delete the problematic ones. Yesterday and today I went and carefully checked, removed, and edited my posts, so the posts which now remain *should not* contain any spoilers. I've posted under videos for episodes 1, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 23, and 24, and those posts *should* be spoiler-free now. My future posts won't contain any spoilers either, not even the slightest hint of anything that might be coming up, and not even a future episode title. My posts will only be about the episode that has been posted, and also about previous episodes. If anyone, after reading this, still finds a post of mine containing spoilers, let me know about it and I'll take a look. I do not intend to engage in a back-and-forth discussion on this matter any longer, because I've apologized both here and on Discord, have reviewed and corrected my posts, and have also promised not to post spoilers again. I would say that this is sufficient. My apologies have been accepted on Discord, and I appreciate that. No more spoilers, promised. Cheers!

2021-03-05 21:58:40 +0000 UTCThis finale is definitely one of my all time favorite episodes, but nonetheless, objectively speaking, there will be episodes far far better in every way. I think he will be blown away (positively of course) with what's to come in the future. Not just season two, but beyond.

2021-03-04 01:45:21 +0000 UTCIn some ways I envy him, like I envy every newcomer to the X-Files, in all seriousness... imagine starting that journey, such a wonderful ride.

2021-03-03 22:56:23 +0000 UTCOK, so as always, very nicely done reaction / review video. Now a couple of observations: - This episode is a classic mythology episode, obviously. You have also, among other things, seen an alien-human hybrid, as well as toxic green blood. - The tagline changes in this one, as you correctly observed, from "The Truth Is Out There" to "Trust No One", which were Deep Throat's last words to Scully. - Did you notice how the last scene of this episode mimics the ending of the season one premiere? It's a very nice touch. I'm talking about the Cigarette Smoking Man at the Pentagon. - In regards to your question about people getting whacked / needing protection, etc., perhaps you're also thinking that they could've killed Mulder right there after they got the parcel on the bridge. Your reasoning is quite rational, but none of that can be discussed/answered without giving away spoilers. - You are obviously digging the show a lot and enjoying every aspect of it that is meant to be enjoyed. The stories themselves, whether they be standalone or mythology, the acting, the chemistry, the writing/directing, atmosphere, even the score by Mark Snow. This is a good sign, because everything that comes next will top, by a large margin, everything you've seen in season one. Bad apples aside. - Speaking of titles... try to appreciate and mention the title of a particular episode in a video. This isn't really criticism, just a tip/suggestion, seeing people who grew up with the series always analyzed the titles, their meanings in relation to the episodes, et cetera. So if you say to a fan X-Files episode number "whatever" it will essentially be meaningless, but if you say the episode title, every single X-Files fan will know what you're talking about. I highly suggest mentioning in your videos, not only the episode number, but also stating the title, just for a better experience. This show has sometimes very interesting titles. I think it would also make your own X-Files experience better, so that in the future you don't have to see which episode was which, but you'll be able to know "Born Again" is that girl / cop reincarnation story, "Roland" is the guy with the frozen twin brother's head, et cetera. - Another tip of mine would be, to slightly increase the volume during the actual credits with the X-Files theme music, as it makes for a more enjoyable viewing experience for fans, in my view. We just all love the theme music. :) These would be my remarks to your video for XF "The Erlenmeyer Flask". Keep enjoying the series.

2021-03-03 18:59:12 +0000 UTCSeason 1 in the bag! Thanks again for reacting to this and giving an old show some love and attention that it hasn't seen in recent years. And it only gets better from here! S2 has some great episodes in store

2021-03-03 18:19:07 +0000 UTCThe plot of the Pilot episode of The Lone Gunmen is freaky as hell. It aired in March of 2001, and was about an attempt to use a remotely piloted airliner to crash into the World Trade Towers, and then of course we all know what happened on 9/11 of 2001... The plot of The Long Kiss Goodnight movie was similarly freaky and prescient about the same event... Seriously crazy stuff that stretches incredulity.

2021-03-03 15:46:21 +0000 UTCActually, there were several color DIGITAL cameras available at the time, plenty of film type, but digital cameras were starting to get good around this time, and some even had built-in modems for sending photos over phone lines or even mobile phones. For an organization like the FBI, they'd easily be able to get them.

2021-03-03 13:07:29 +0000 UTCWhy in gods name does Mulder never bring a camera with him? I know they didn't have them on phones but they still had disposable cameras or Polaroids or something right? And why do they never make photocopies of all the evidence they find and stash them somewhere lol. Just a thought anyway.

2021-03-03 11:41:54 +0000 UTCThat scene on the bridge is so intense. I think Deep Throat knew what was going to happen and the reason he was getting so agitated with Scully was because if she were the one to hand over the box, she would have been executed. He was going to accept it to keep not just Mulder, but Scully alive as well. On a side note, I'm not sure if you are aware but X-Files shares the same TV Universe as two other shows. The Lone Gunman, which only lasted 1 season and had mixed reviews, and Millennium which is probably my favorite TV show of all time. They even have a crossover episode in season 7. Monti Propps, the Serial killer mentioned in the pilot that Mulder caught before the start of the show, has ties to the mythology from Millennium. If you're curious, I'd recommend start watching it when Season 4 of X-Files starts.

2021-03-03 04:53:33 +0000 UTCSuch a good finale - I love how they ended both the 1st and last episodes with the evidence being boxed away in the pentagon.
