Never thought of this before: Daniel not being on earth, and being the first of the robots to be killed, is because he's behind the camera

What I learned from this episode is that we need 2 SG1 teams to steal a Ha'tak. lol I can't wait for you to react to the last episode of season 4. It is a major episode (2 parts).

Yan Brassard

I can't wait for best boi Goa'uld debuting next season. He's by far my favorite Goa'uld ever

Been looking forward to this one since Tin Man. I really appreciate the resolution to the robo SG1 storyline, and Shanks did a great job directing it considering this was his first go behind the camera. I liked that the original O'Neill gained some respect for his duplicate at the end there, but I just love the scene where the 2 Teal'cs take down Cronus. That "for our father" really sells what this meant to both of them, and we never saw any interaction between real and robo Teal'c in Tin Man. Unfortunately Daniel was barely involved in the episode, and there wasn't much interaction between the Carters, but it was fun seeing Harlan back. I had a pretty similar reaction when I first saw it. Aside from the hair and MP5s, and the fact that they were duplicates of some sort, or the fact that Carter was surprised to be called major(still being a captain back in S1), you'll also notice some of the musical cues from S1 reused in this episode, like at Robo Daniel's execution. So taking down Cronus is perhaps he biggest victory SG1 has had thus far. This guy was a big deal, as you'll remember back in Fair Game he was at the time the most powerful system lord, and probably only second to Apophis now. Since the show started SG1 has so far killed Hathor, who had barely begin to rebuild, Seth who was in hiding and had no influence, and Amaunet who was under Heru'ur's protection at the time. Sokar was easily the most powerful that's been killed on the show, but arguably that goes to the Tok'ra since SG1 was mostly trying to break out. Apophis killed Heru'ur, but it was due to SG1's sabotage of the meeting. Cronus though was a big deal, and taken down entirely by SG1(well, both of them). That's a win. Question is who gets the ship?

I'm a big fan of this episode! I watched the show when it originally aired which meant re-watching the first robot episode far too many times to forget about them. It was really cool to get a conclusion to the robot story which, while it wasn't left open-ended, always felt kind of unresolved just because of how much SG-1 hated what was done to them. The robot team were too much like SG-1 to ever stay on Harlan's planet. And like Jack said, people aren't meant to live forever. It was a good ending for them to go out getting rid of Cronus. Really liked the scene where the Teal'cs got revenge for their father as well.

Teth

Not to mention that "for our father" from Robo Teal'c

Timothy Nikiforovs

First thing he ever directed. You notice in some series an actor will direct and still have a significant role, but that's generally after they get some experience and can handle the added workload.

Timothy Nikiforovs

I always felt weird about this episode. It isn't bad. But...of all things to bring back from the whole series, the robots made the cut.

William Sevier

When I first watched this back in the day, I actually hadn't seen that Michael Shanks was directing this episode. It was weird to me that they had left him out of the episode at the time, but now it all makes sense. He was the one behind the camera! lol

seeing fail doing stargate sg1 and far scape I just found a decent show i searched for that had 5 seasons called andromeda it had a captain and a crew i have not seen it i just read about so if fail needs recomendations on a new show andromeda looks like it might be a great one and I will wait too see it until fail starts reacting too it !

Paul Carroll

aww what I like about it is also seeing the stargate excutive team give the actor micheal shanks a go at directing an episode and his style i liked it I look forward too seeing if any other episodes that come are directed by richard dean anderson or amanda tapping that be sweet if they allowed them too direct a episode also

Paul Carroll

I see that Fail didn't notice that SG1 got the grand prize for taking out a System Lord... 😋

James Yancy

I will not tear up at the end I will not tear up at robo Jack's last words. Damnit where is that ninja cutting onions.

Now that's what I'm talking about, indeed!
