At the end of every season of Farscape, they blow something up. Gotta love the genius behind that. Season 2: Letβs go!

2021-02-22 00:38:54 +0000 UTCFarscape really goes in hard with their dramatic, emotional, cliffhanger finales π Really enjoyed your reactions and can't wait for you to get into season 2, a lot of my all time favourite episodes are in season 2.

All the character development we've had over the first season paid off in a big way here. Even Crais showed a lot of new potential as a character going forward now that he's acknowledged John never meant to kill his brother. Each and every one of John's farewells to his friends was damn near perfect, as was the scene where D'Argo and Aeryn admit how much they've come to rely on and respect each other. Rygel may be a bastard, but to his credit, he did seem genuinely remorseful. The scene that I would say stood out most was the one with Chiana. She's no doubt been used and objectified many times in her life, and given she said she didn't know another way to thank him, it's clear she doesn't see herself as having much to offer beyond sex. John telling her to pay it forward was telling her that she does in fact have much more to offer. He rejected her advances, but he didn't reject her gratitude, and in the process found a way to raise her up as a person. John was right; his dad taught him well. And Scorpius continues to prove himself a far more cunning and dangerous villain than Crais. If I'm not mistaken this is the first mention of scarrans as well. It's curious that the peacekeepers who consider sebaceans who have even spent a few days or hours with aliens to be irredeemably contaminated would accept a half alien into their ranks, let alone with such authority. Can't wait to see where they go with him.
