I feel like shows like this and smallville for example because they are in a characters past they draw this line they cant cross because then the character becomes the legend or whatever. It kinda restricts the story telling. This show is pretty forgettable I know I watched the whole thing and kind of enjoyed it, I love magic and mages and the whole mid-evil vibe but I remember so little about this show.

2021-02-11 01:35:31 +0000 UTCStarting to feel that all we are getting most of the time is the same recycled theme or plot for far too many episodes. I will say that I felt the weight a lot more with this one. But I'm not surprised with the formulaic resolution. Not that I actually wanted anything to happen to Gaius. This is my first time with the show so I don't know what is going to happen. But I'm not expecting a whole lot of progression for a long while.

2021-02-10 19:48:47 +0000 UTCI get what you're saying with the whole "Merlin almost got exposed" plots getting redundant, but I'd argue this is one of the better executions(heh) of that idea. That largely boils down to Charles Dance's performance. He definitely made for a compelling villain. Be interesting to see how Gaius and Uther's friendship holds up going forward.
