4:11 Yeah, all that and he can seduce Buffy's mom. At least Oz gave Giles some credit for being a low key rock star as it were. Also I gotta say, I'm liking the inclusion of the episode titles in the uploads. Nice touch. Yeah this is a tough one. I think Oz can't really be blamed for what he and Veruca did as wolves, since he has no real control, and clearly he couldn't build a separate cage for her on such short notice, but what he really did wrong is not telling Willow and Buffy right away. Willow would still be hurt, but nowhere near as much. It was also extremely irresponsible given she was on the loose. I think Willow knows it would be hard to classify anything he did while transformed as legitimate cheating since he has no control, but he chose to keep the truth from her, which made it seem like he wanted it. Oz definitely failed on honesty and openness here, which I think hurt Willow much more than his fur fling. And fuckin Spike, they make it seem like he's back to get revenge for losing the gem of Amara, and nope, zap him and bag him. Clearly seal team 6 is moving toward a bigger role on the show.

2021-02-04 19:14:06 +0000 UTCI agree but to play Devil's Advocate, there is a specific pain and humiliation in being cheated on with "the one they told you not to worry about." As you said, Willow knew there was an attraction, but even after Oz learned Veruca was a wolf and they slept together, he arguably gaslights Willow by acting like he didn't notice any tension at the table the day before. Xander was a complete surprise to Oz, while Veruca for Willow is a weird mix of knowing you were right, hating that you were right, feeling betrayed by the cheating, but even more betrayed from being made to feel paranoid and jealous over valid fears. That said, the affair between Willow and Xander was worse in all the ways you said, but I do think Willow has a point when she said we put that behind us. Nobody would have blamed Oz if he had done what Cordelia did and dipped after Lover's Walk, but he chose to stay with her, work on their relationship, and forgive Willow. Heck, I think Oz would have been in the right to at anytime during or after that reconciliation say, "What happened with Xander is too big to move past." But to only bring it up a year later when you yourself are caught cheating, like "Oh yeah, I know this sucks; I felt the same when you cheated on me," just comes across as super crass and childish.

2021-02-04 02:22:38 +0000 UTCI feel like one could make a perfectly sound defense for Oz in this case... using technicalities, and logic, and all that good stuff. But at the end of the day, he wanted it. He knew it, Veruca knew it, Willow knew it, and we all knew it. He had a choice... to tell the others, or not to. He chose not to, knowing what that would result it. This is on him. That being said, I totally disagree with Willow that what Oz and Veruca did is so much worse than her and Xander. Oz and Veruca had some supernatural pull towards each other, while Xander and Willow just made human choices... continuously, for weeks, in front of their significant others. Physically this went further, but emotionally no way. Alyson Hannigan for all the awards. Great reaction.

2021-02-04 01:50:54 +0000 UTCI feel for Willow, but I’m also looking at her like👀👀. She should’ve told Oz about Xander, if she’s using that against Oz. Animal extinct is way different from being a human, in control. I don’t know man.
