2023-09-08 04:31:48 +0000 UTCI've always found it very interesting how much some people will love an episode whereas others will despise it. Plenty of examples in the XF fandom, practically every season, where some fans are amazed by an ep and others find it "meh" or even horrendous. What I do find completely useless and counterproductive however, is when fans debate with each other whether an episode is good or not, simply not being able to grasp the concept of "matter of taste", and what certain people wish to see in an episode. My advice to FallWhale34 is to not let himself be influenced by fan opinions regarding episodes or even seasons. Watch it and form your own opinion regarding everything. Also, avoid spoilers like the plague IMO.

2020-12-31 19:47:03 +0000 UTCEvery time I see a bad episode of Who I'm like "we only have like 10 episodes and you really wasted one on THIS?!" and in some cases that bad story ends up being a 2 parter even worse. I think its one of the upsides to these older American shows they had so many episodes that having a mediocre one every so often doesn't feel as bad.

They make a good case for how Jack could just have had a psychotic break due to how obsessive he was about the thieves he was following and got a bit too far into their heads, or that one of them got the other one's memories while they were dead.

2020-12-27 13:28:29 +0000 UTCYeah this one is kinda meh, though far from the weakest of the season thus far. It's an interesting concept and the execution wasn't too bad, but it's just not that memorable. If I recall though the overall quality jumps somewhat toward the end of the season. I think it's ep 20 that was the first(one of the first) XF eps I ever saw, and it's one of the most memorable of the series to me as a result. Still, havent seen it in 20+ years, so I wonder if it'll hold up as I remember. Also I get that being the skeptic is Scully's thing, but this one does strain credibility somewhat. And yes, Comtraya!!! That was indeed Harlan from SG1, and the bank robber was Daniel's friend Rothman. Also one of the doctors played Daniel's mom in The Gamekeeper. There were 2 other SG1 actors in there as well, but they haven't appeared yet.
