Can't wait for the two part Finale, glad you are doing it together.

2020-12-21 04:47:36 +0000 UTCSuch a great episode. The team's been through so much up to and including this episode, and they deserved their one great, memorable night, even if it is just the calm before the storm. Buying the dress for Cordelia is probably Xander's single most mature moment on the show thus far. He could be pretty insufferable as a character through the first 3 seasons, but he's starting to really grow up now. Giles really went into dad mode here as well, and not just to Buffy. The most frustrating thing about Giles having to "report" to Wesley is the fact that while he's probably late 20s-early 30s, he's still as immature as the high school students. I also appreciate Joyce's approach when talking to Angel. She didn't go in all "you stay away from my daughter". She knows they really do care about each other, but she understands it just wont work in the long run. Thankfully he understood that as well. Still should have waited till after prom to drop that, but they paid it off well. And yeah, the class protector scene gets me in the feels. Jonathan was the perfect choice to present that award IMO. It's gratifying for both Buffy and the viewer to know that everything she's done is noticed and appreciated, even if silently.

2020-12-17 22:42:27 +0000 UTCThanks for changing it - people have been nudging now since season 2 (primarily on YT) and it'd be nice if he just didn't know until the last possible moment.

2020-12-17 22:34:47 +0000 UTCGiven we're 2 eps away from when he should start it, I can't blame people for nudging in that direction. The problem is that while the 2 shows keep their stories fairly separate, there will still be some pretty major spoilers for one or the other if he gets too far out of order.

2020-12-17 19:38:42 +0000 UTCMy bad. I fixed it. I've literally not seen a reactor who is unaware of the name of the spinoff two episodes away from watching it. Most people at this point are in the process of getting access to the show and deciding watch order. Since he's made reference in previous reactions to a certain character being setup for the spinoff I assumed he already knew the name, as well.

2020-12-17 16:20:51 +0000 UTCPlease don't drop the spinoff name - he hasn't been spoiled yet and it's a miracle because everyone has been trying to spoil it for him.

2020-12-17 13:23:56 +0000 UTCThis is an amazing episode. I always cry when Buffy's telling Willow about the break up, and I always cry at the Class Protector award. I love that the real focus of this show is Buffy's relationship to her power/her work, and I love how the impact of her work within this community of high school is highlighted /considered in the episode.

2020-12-17 09:26:28 +0000 UTCBtVS at its wholesome-est! You mentioned wanting to get right into Buffy season 4 but haven't talked at all about the spinoff season 1? Aren't you planning to do the shows together? (Maybe you've talked about this elsewhere and i've just missed it.)

2020-12-17 07:58:40 +0000 UTCI'm so happy you loved this one... You're so right, she needed a W, and they gave her everything she needed for once. It's beautiful.

2020-12-17 05:44:03 +0000 UTCThat speech Johnathan gives at the end makes me tear up too.

2020-12-17 03:46:21 +0000 UTCSMG does not get enough props for her acting. She constantly delivers such believable performances and reactions to things in this fantasy/other worldly show that can bring even this 41 year old dude to tears on his 20 plus times watching this show.

2020-12-17 03:44:00 +0000 UTC*love* this episode. Makes me cry every time. I am soooo excited to see your reaction to the finale(s)!

2020-12-17 03:19:59 +0000 UTCI love this episode so much. That Class Protector award scene gets me every.single.time. And, yes, I thought it was so touching that they had Jonathan present it to her. And yes, the Xander/Cordelia moments in this episode are a perfect, sweet wrap up to their relationship. Also, once you mentioned Angel in a 3-piece tux and that being perfect for you R&B video, and I knew that was coming...all I have to say is please tell me that video is not just a tease because I need to see that. :D I can't wait for the double drop of Graduation Day Part 1 and 2. Woo!
