2020-11-11 14:03:59 +0000 UTCThat Stargate name drop though. I was having a hard time figuring out why the dad looked the same 20 years prior. I remember Christian Slater in a movie around then (Broken Arrow) and he looked way younger. But yeah if he's just been in Elliot's head it makes sense. And what's up with Wellick's wife? Last ep she's all like "I won't let them take you away from us", and now she's like "I'm out". Honestly though If it ever comes to blows, I hope Elliot unleashes his inner crazy and pummels the shit out of Wellick. On the one hand he's clearly very smart and knows how to manipulate, but on the other he's basically a fairly pathetic individual. A bit of a groveling simp. Gideon is the one I felt bad for this episode. He's trying so hard to watch out for his company and his employees and it's all falling down around him.

There's a couple of brothers, a drunk guy who stopped posting reactions bc he kept getting copyright strikes, and the Normies whose reactions start at the season 2 finale. And that closing instrumental is Where is My Mind? by The Pixies - one of my best friend's favorite songs. Gorgeous.

It's funny what Sam Esmail said near the end about the series that I won't repeat because some may consider it a spoiler although everybody who was with s4 will know exactly what I'm talking about - he weren't lying. Nice to see Mr Robot getting the respect it deserves from a youtuber; probably a bit late to broaden its audience very much but still :) You're so right about the acting, everybody gives it 100 every single scene they're in (for the entire run), Martin Wallström is excellent despite acting in second language and Rami Malek went off and got himself an Oscar for best lead actor whilst filming s3/4 and obviously needs no comment. If you think production values are high now remember this is Sam Esmail's first major gig, wait until he discovers his craft and really puts his stamp on things later. Also get hyped AF for his Battlestar Galactica series..
