2020-10-25 02:24:52 +0000 UTCNot only do SG-1 believe that Apophis died, but this is the second time he's used the transporter rings to escape an exploding ship while SG-1 thinks he went down with it. You could almost argue they should've expected it by now...

2020-10-24 06:51:37 +0000 UTCCan you imagine? SG-1 proving to other Jaffas that Apophis is false god and indeed dead by showing them the video. Now, when Apophis is resurrected, he seems even more like a god... surviving his own death.

2020-10-24 06:23:32 +0000 UTCApophis had to come back. He's just too good of an antagonist for them to be done with him in less than 2 seasons. You have to admire the guy's resourcefulness to get out of that situation though. Also that gauntlet of his gives some serious Assassin's Creed vibes(Apophis' Creed?). Personally I'd say this is easily the most spectacular 2 parter so far, but not the best. At this point that's still the season 1 finale/S2 opener. The Tok'ra was a very slow episode, even if it did some big world building, and the Hathor 2 parter was OK but never one of the best in the series. The production on this episode was phenomenal. The scene that always stuck with me from this episode was Sokar's scream after Apophis got away. The actor really sold the pure rage of that moment. The interrogations were an interesting way to dig into the team's inner turmoil as well. No need for a scene about Teal'c, we already know what's bothering him after Apophis said howdy. Also while he was a little quick to write off Jacob, Martouf and SG1, I kind of liked Aldwin. He comes across as one of the less dickish tok'ra, especially at the end there. Also as far as SG1 knows, both Sokar and Apophis died on that ship. They're gonna be pissed when they find out he's alive. Edit - Almost forgot. The name Apophis had, Na'onak, actually translates to "not a god". Probably a final insult from Sokar.
