I think Kevin and Phyllis were pretty evenly matched, but it's difficult to say since we didn't get to see Kevin actually play in the game.

2020-10-17 10:16:51 +0000 UTCI think this is where we see the very beginnings of what will be come it's very own show and not just do a poor copy the original, which is a brilliant cringfest. The way the original show was shot played better to the fly on the wall documentary style. And specifically Gervais is much better doing those yearnful but desperate glances to camera searching for validation. All the while getting pretty much everything wrong. They didn't want to change that element that much. There's a little more pity for him as he is more painfully pathetic. Where the UK show stayed pretty focused on a few central characters due to the format. Now as we head into next season, the US version expands to the standard format and therefore are able to expand on the other characters which is to its benefit. Wish he'd let Kevin play! đ
