You ever watch an episode and then think about everything they say Joss and get weirded out?

The injury that Cordelia endures in this episode was inspired by a real life injury that Charisma went through when she was a kid. Just a fun fact. Your reaction here was perfection. Just everything was perfection. :D

Katherine Thoreson

Excellent episode. Start to finish.

Totally agree! Haha yeah I was trying to keep my comment spoiler free too. Can't wait til he gets to season 4!

It was a brilliant episode. You're just sleep-deprived and can't process everything ;p

Tania

At this point in the series, yes he does

That’s because Xander sucks πŸ˜‚

I think that’s because his true character, pre vampire, was that of a really decent person. Kind, loving, very emotionally inclined. It’s not an original vampire trope, that the transition to vampire seems to amplify the strongest characteristics of the person, but that’s how I see Spike. Can’t really go much further on my views on Spike as a character, I don’t want to spoil anything

Dani Dekay

Hands down one of my favorite episodes. Spike's "Love isn't brains" speech really made an impression on me when I first watched it. Spike clearly isn't a good person in this episode, but he seems to understand love at a much deeper level than the rest of the characters in the episode, which I thought was really intriguing.

loopkill

Regarding the title of this episode Lovers Walk it was originally supposed to be Lover's Walk which means lovers walking together but its intentionally Lovers Walk meaning lovers walking but not necessarily together. I always loved that.

Man, screw Xander. Willow was in the wrong too, but at least she was TRYING to put a stop to it. Almost every time they start flirting he was the one to initiate it. Granted she kissed him at the end, but she also thought they were going to die. Spike always cracked me up in this episode. Maybe I'm messed up, his delivery when talking about killing the homeless guy or how he's gonna torture Drusilla until she likes him again was hilarious to me(truth is she probably would find that a turn on). Lastly the mayor didn't get much screen time this episode, but one of the things that always made his character so memorable is how seamlessly he mixed being this entirely evil POS with all these wholesome "suburban dad" character traits. He casually talks about covering up murders and selling his soul while putting in his office, or call in for sewer maintenance in the middle of a child sacrifice. And then there's the germaphobe thing. Certainly not a dull character.

Timothy Nikiforovs

Cordy is still shallow and vain, but she's also loyal, which is more than can be said for Xander at this stage in the series.

Timothy Nikiforovs

I feel like you're really start to get Buffy now as a show and how it has such a hard-core and loyal fanbase that has truly stood the test of time and is regarded as one of the best shows of all time. The way episodes like this make you think and question almost every scene and the affects that can have on the show moving forward. Fantastic. Also, I have waited so long for the fake-out scene and you did not disappoint 🀣 well done everyone for not giving any spoilers either. I know that's an issue with a fair few reactors so just be wary...

Corey Seville

Loved your reaction, as always! This is a packed episode. It's humorous, dramatic, and terrifying (the scene with Spike & Willow). This episode, I think, takes Cordelia from a side character to a true top favorite. Oddly, Spike's speech about never being friends always makes me tear up because it's so true.

Ashley

They have done such a good job with Cordelia, she's gone from a one note, bitchy, self centred, popular girl - to someone we genuinely feel bad for.

Chris

Omg. Obviously, the fake-out Cordy death scene - which pissed most of us off the first time around - is a favorite for people watching reactions, but yours was so awesome I actually rewound and watched it 3 times, then ran to show my husband (who I met in the fandom almost 20 years ago lol). We're in agreement: yours is the best reaction, ever. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ»

Oh, this episode. LOL It's so good, but it messes you up so bad. To me, that's what makes a show really brilliant, when the characters make choices that create so many layers and make them real people, but that still fuck you up inside. Yes, Angel was de-invited. There is a whole scene in Passions (season 2) where, after Angel became evil, Buffy and Willow did a spell to uninvite him. Remember, he was leaving those drawings, and Willows's fish, and they did the spell on hers and Buffy's house. Cordy, with her thing about him getting into her car, so they had to do the spell on her car too. And haha, you screamed. That was cool.
