UNEDITED EXCLUSIVE: Torchwood Season 4 FINALE!

The show was originally planned to have a S5, it was never actually cancelled! RTD just never got around to writing it.

Yea, much like Brent said, this was Americanized Torchwood. It was coproduced by Starz, hence the additional sex scenes. There was going to be more but Russell T Davies husband was diagnosed with cancer and so he left all his series to be there for his final days. The show has never been officially canceled so we might get more of it on TV. Unlikely though as it seems the story continued on the BBC Big Finish auto dramas as Season 5. Okay so back in the day, when I started watching Torchwood(all the seasons were out by then), I only got to around mid season 2, right after Owen's death, and then I never got around to finishing it, so when you started reacting to it I had such a great time rewatching up until then(i could barely remember anything lol), an then I watched the rest of the show for the first time with you, and it has been such a blast! Tho I gotta say, we had basically the same reaction to this episode, and basically the whole season😂 It's been fun tho!

I tend to block this season out of my mind, with Children of Earth they set some high expectations and this just missed on so many aspects. Don't get me wrong, there were some parts that were good, I like that they showed Gwen being a protective mother etc and the twist with the blood being in Rex was clever - the concept as a whole was interesting too - it just didn't work though.

This season is definitely divisive. It drags as a whole and then rushes through the finish line. Shame, the concept is really interesting.

Remember, this whole season was supposed to be a trial run for an American Torchwood series, as such, they would need to leave a mystery and threads to follow up on, with no conclusion. Unfortunately, it did not continue, so therefore this was the end with a cliffhanger and no conclusion of Jack. That's just the unofortunte state of things. Also, I agree the plot and storyline was weird, and not very well concluded. I think it was a miss, but then again, there's a reason it didn't continue.
