1969 and Urgo are my two most favorite episodes. Love Teal'c and his Jimi Hendrix look. Jack dressed like the Fonz. I wished they had made this a two or three part episode, and Cassandra was right their journey is just beginning.

2020-09-01 11:49:08 +0000 UTCGreat episode. Time travel episodes are such a brilliant sci-fi trope. I think this one is similar to a ST Voyager episode in a few ways but very different in others. I think I prefer this one far more... Ah but I digress. So much fun and a great acknowledgment of the subject of the military draft of the time. Could of been a perfect time to reflect the possible differing views of three of the four protagonists. But I liked how they decided not to let the story to be pulled of track. But still took the time to have that moment. But have the conflict be about not putting the timeline at risk. Could of been a very different conversation and not as appropriate for the story.

2020-08-31 10:51:56 +0000 UTCI ADORED this reaction, when I think back on some of the most iconic episodes of this show, this episode is definitely Top 10 memorable.

2020-08-31 09:33:10 +0000 UTCI was looking forward to this reaction! The premise is great but it's also such a feel-good episode. You can really see the affection between General Hammond and the team. I also love Cassandra's appearance. Like The Fifth Race episode, it builds up hope and excitement for the future.

2020-08-31 01:07:37 +0000 UTCI always imagined that they were in some kind of time bubble while the gate was open, but then it dissipated after the gate shut down depositing them into the new time period. There are some holes with the idea, but without going into them it does okay as a holdover explanation.

2020-08-31 00:57:30 +0000 UTCThis episode is awesome, plain and simple. Definitely a fan favourite, which is nice to get after a couple meh episodes. It's got a weird way of handling time travel though. I couldn't quite wrap my head around the gate room morphing like that, and why didn't it happen again at the end? It was cool how they had Hammond order Carter to research using the gate for time travel so he knew how to help them. I think Carter got that cut in One False Step when the plant person got Daniel's knife, but if that's what it was meant to be then Show and Tell is a bit inconsistent since she had no bandage or visible injury there. Also "the war with Canada" is one of Teal'c best lines. Lastly I love how clueless Daniel is in not only giving away that he understands Russian but also responds "nyet" when asked if they're soviet spies.

2020-08-30 22:33:22 +0000 UTCThis episode is always an early highlight of a rewatch of the series. There are a few tiny references sprinkled in to this episode throughout the series. Overall a fantastic episode which takes a bunch of characters you really like and put them in such a wonderfully unexpected situation to explore.
2020-08-30 21:15:56 +0000 UTCI really like this episode and I'm glad you appreciate the "oomph" of the draft. I love how they made these groovy people who end up having their own problems. It really made this episode one if the better ones in the series.

2020-08-30 21:07:07 +0000 UTCExcited to watch this reaction! One of my all time favorite episodes of the series.
2020-08-30 20:40:33 +0000 UTCVery happy with the frequent uploads! I really enjoy all these episodes where the Stargate runs into problems because they don't have a DHD and are just going off limited understanding of the technology. It's very true to reality.

2020-08-30 20:31:13 +0000 UTCA young George Hammond changed the entire to trajectory of his whole life to make sure he was a general when the time came to send his younger self a message he is truly the legend of this series.
