2020-07-18 13:41:32 +0000 UTCOne thing I've just noticed (music geek) the score at the end, when Jack flies off to heaven or wherever - when he mentions Owen and Toshiko, it blends both of their themes into the score, just for a few seconds. That's such a tiny detail, and I love it. Also, Peter - Motherfucking - CAPALDI. <3

I also have my own head cannon that the tech guy was an iteration of the Master somehow - he just seemed too knowledgeable and too gleeful at the evil things (look at his face in the background when Steven dies). I would so watch a spin off about Bridget and Frobisher's early days too - she seems like a lady who has a few stories to tell.

2020-07-17 07:26:51 +0000 UTCA very emotional finale. Very hard to watch but also very gripping and brilliantly acted. Jack sacrificing his grandson is painful to watch, Gwen's speech about the Doctor looking and turning away in shame is emotional, the 456 wanting to use kids as drugs is harrowing and the government turning against the people is heartbreaking. Its uplifting to see the people fight back but its also sad when you see them losing the battle. Those news reports feel very familiar to what we see now. Frobisher offing himself and his family due to seeing no way out was also rough to watch. I loved how the contact lenses came into play for Lois and Bridget to bring down the prime minister. Worst part is the woman who takes charge is just as bad as him. I watched this with my sister when it first broadcasted and it stuck with me a lot. This is easily the best series of Torchwood. There's no contest. The political commentary, the mature storytelling, the global threat mixed with Torchwood fighting a losing battle and having to suffer losses and sacrifices makes it so compelling to watch. It's definitely the end of an era. This in my opinion would have been the perfect end for Torchwood. It really should have ended here. Now you know why Jack was drowning his sorrows onboard a ship when you saw him in Tennant's final episode.

He was just a man, who gave everything to his work, and got nothing back. I personally love season 4, but i know a lot of people dont. Looking forward to your reactions. I do think you should post next seasons episodes a bit closer to each other, but if it doesnt fit your schedule, its understandable. Thanks for the reaction, it has been a ride!
