2020-07-13 22:56:29 +0000 UTCI saw this when I was a kid and it scared me pretty bad. I would say this is definitely inspired by the nightmare on elm street movies. The monster even looks kind of a lot the same, though his powers and backstory are obviously pretty different. Same idea though. This is pretty good for a one-off and I still like it, but like some others have said, I sometimes skip this one. Not because it's bad, just because it's not exactly stellar. At least the goofy one-offs are funny, but ones like this aren't funny and the mystery/scary elements have diminishing returns, plus it doesn't tie too strongly into the rest of the story. I do love Angel trying to bring Buffy flowers though. What a dick.
