No spoilery details, but this is NOT the last time we see Space Suits on SG1. They'll make some more appearances, even up to Season 10...

I cannot believe how early you called the plot of the episode. Someone really does need to be in the writers room. Honestly though, I'm not a huge fan of this episode. The premise is solid, the Teal'cisms are fun, and the acting and directing are top notch. The problem I have is while the episode is about basically encountering a vastly different form of life and inadvertently getting into conflict with it before communicating and coming to an understanding(kind of like TNG Home Soil), but they only address this briefly for a few minutes of the episode The majority of the episode is a bit of drama around O'Neill and Simmons situations(which was fine) and a LOT of technobabble concerning this spreading infection thing. Technobabble is fine, but there has to be a purpose served by it beyond passing the runtime. I'm surprised though they didn't try pouring liquid nitrogen over the orb. Not only would that counter the heat it was trying to generate, but it would starve it of oxygen. With it feeding on energy, that seems like the best option. But yeah, the real takeaway of the episode is how dangerous it is to bring stuff back to the SGC. Honestly, they should set up some prefabs on one of those uninhabited planets and have a bunch of medical and science equipment as well as an iris. Everyone should go there and bring any recovered artifacts there until they can be sure they're not bringing any weapons or viruses back. Maybe even have a 3rd site with an iris and palm scanner that teams can go to if they have hostiles chasing them(close that iris, wait till the gate shuts down, gate to the second base). Worst case scenario then is the staff and equipment on that base is lost, which is infinitely better than losing Earth.

Solid episode. Your enjoyment made me appreciate and enjoy it even more. "Good Morning Campers"

Daryl

I love this episode! I can't wait for your reactions to the next few episodes!!!!!

Another great episode with some touching moments between Jack and Teal'c. I always enjoy enjoy seeing this one because when I recorded it off the TV the VHS looked like a snowstorm. #90sproblems

Man, this episode was so INTENSE! You could really feel Teal'c and Jack's bond when Jack was hanging off the wall. Teal'c would not leave his friend. "You're a good man, Teal'c" - "So are you, my friend."

Ricardo Pomalaza

True that, friend.

Stef Furness

"Undomesticated equines" ftw. Also, your comment at the beginning from Daniel's perspective: "It would be a *shame* if we didn't take it." Hopefully they take this episode's lesson to heart. <3

I still say "undomesticated equines could not remove me" to this day. And it was lovely seeing how emotional you got during that Teal'c and Jack scene and how worried you were the whole time.

Lady Beyond The Wall

"Boobie?" "Sargent, your progress here is unsatisfactory" "Undomesticated equines could not remove me" Some of the best Teal'c one liners are in this episode. Such a great episode, so intense and emotional! Great reaction!
