No longer any spoilers on this, so here goes, the "Walter" thing started with RDA calling him that on an improvised line that was apparently a bit of an homage to M*A*S*H* and the immortal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly

2022-10-23 07:56:46 +0000 UTCYeah often interesting info in your comments about the episodes but please don't spoil what's important and not in coming episodes, ruins the surprise moments :( But I didn't even notice teal'c getting stabbed , he really is a beast!

2020-05-31 19:38:19 +0000 UTCyeah man it's not cool :(

2020-05-31 15:02:22 +0000 UTCI don't even watch stargate but like, stop?

2020-05-30 22:03:31 +0000 UTCAnd there's nothing wrong with Chevron man

2020-05-30 20:49:51 +0000 UTCWell, he already admitted to looking it up, but I actually caught Hammond saying it in one of the last 5 (?) episodes for the first time in ages... I'm impressed either way, no lie. <3

2020-05-30 20:42:56 +0000 UTCDon't you mean Norman Walter Davis Harriman? π€£

2020-05-30 19:52:09 +0000 UTCCome on man, let him find things out for himself...

2020-05-30 03:32:33 +0000 UTCIt's funny but behind the scenes they changed his name a bunch of times. He was Norman at one point, then Sgt Davis, which I think they changed to avoid confusion with Major Davis who shows up later this season for the first time, then he was called Walter in one episode, then finally he was Sgt Harriman. Something like that. Then they just mashed all that together and now he's Norman Walter Davis Harriman technically.

2020-05-30 00:41:43 +0000 UTCYou'll find out about Jack's time in prison later this season, in one of the shows best episodes. Without saying too much, Linea's escape will come back to haunt the team in the future. I like that every now and they actually let the heroes screw up big. Mixes things up a bit. Also Teal'c is a beast. Gets stabbed saving Jack and walks it off like it's nothing.

2020-05-30 00:36:51 +0000 UTCLol yeaaaaah thatβs my mistake. People in the discord were laughing when I kept saying Chevron man so I thought I fucked up by not knowing his name. Searched up Chevron man the first thing that popped up on Google was Walter. Sorry again, silly mistake on my end I never do that π

2020-05-30 00:07:49 +0000 UTCeither one of us mentioned it, or he's been lying the whole time and he HAS seen this show before(angry grumbles)............ Or I suppose he could have taken a peek at the wiki.

2020-05-29 21:58:37 +0000 UTCHey, how'd you know chevron man's name is Walter? That isn't revealed until much later!

2020-05-29 20:04:10 +0000 UTCRED FLAG! RED FLAG! π©π© π€£ I aways assumed the viewer is meant to ask those questions as our wayward adventurers do their thing and make some pretty dubious assumptions along the way. π€π Seems to be a common theme.... Our intrepid explorers step through the gate. "Hey we are "peaceful" explorers (please ignore these guns we always carry. π³)" Massive explosion behind them.... "Did we do that?" π€£

2020-05-29 10:07:38 +0000 UTCBasically they have no way of knowing that the SG1 is gone from the place; frankly, they probably wouldn't give a fuck anyway, which is why they yeet criminals in there to begin with, instead of just executing them (out of sight, out of mind)

2020-05-29 08:25:53 +0000 UTCI always liked this episode! Linnea is a really interesting character and the end of the episode was one of the biggest 'oh shit' moments in the early show.

2020-05-29 08:18:58 +0000 UTCBut that just mostly shows how good at making "universal" connectors or something like that, the creators of them were, if our tech can interact w/ the Stargates

2020-05-29 07:40:15 +0000 UTCI love that you noticed Walter's absence =)

2020-05-29 07:08:02 +0000 UTCSomething you probably noticed by now, but I thought I would point out, the SGC has no DHD at all. They use computers to operate the Stargate. There was a DHD with the Antarctic gate, but they obviously have not hooked that one up, so it is wherever the other gate is being stored. They didn't find a DHD with the Giza gate, which is the gate the SGC uses. Just something you might have noticed by now, and worth noting. It shows that we are at least advanced enough to connect our computers to the gate and operate it.
