2020-05-18 15:12:16 +0000 UTCYeah once it moved from Showtime, it moved away from gritty and the profanity lowered. They tried to do gritty and dark with SGU but I didn't really like their approach. SGU was an alright scifi show but I couldn't get into it mostly because of the actors. Something just didn't click for me.

2020-05-16 00:09:15 +0000 UTCWhat is there to say, SG1 finished STRONG it's first season. Excellent finale and you're gonna love the conclusion. We also see a cool new weapon for the first time, but dont expect the 3 shot disintegrate to show up too often, as Michael Shanks hated the zats as did many other people, particularly the 3 shot disintegrate business. Also fun little easter egg, when Jack asks if the comm sphere gets showtime it's a little 4th wall break to the fact the show originally aired on showtime

2020-05-15 23:22:17 +0000 UTCOkay, this was also one of my favorite episodes. When this aired live on tv, I was so upset that they made this to be continued! It was awful having to wait for the next season to see what happened. Now, it's a blast because we can just binge watch to the next episode if we wanted to. Stargate does great to be continued episodes, but the first is always the best! I loved every minute of this episode and the team interactions were awesome! So was the action and the music really set the tone for the episode as well. I just love Genera; Hammond! He really is a great leader. I can't wait for you to start season 2! That was my favorite season out of all of them!

Which really sucks when they get canceled and the fans are left with no resolution. There was an show called Prey from 98 that ended like that and one of the actors was cast as The Invisible man and they did a little easter egg thing to kinda make people have some kind of resolution to Prey, a throw away scene for most people. The invisible man was a fun show but sci-fi refusal to rerun the 1st season and trying to mix things up in the 2nd season, combined with not airing several episodes that had exploding buildings due to 9/11 pretty much killed the show
