Help! I'm obsessed with one particular scene in this episode. Check for example reaction on Dropbox at 48:32. Look at how Graham and Yaz move. It seems like it's played backwards or something. I verified this in many other sources and it's really in the episode. What the hell is that?

Ok as an aside, am I the only one who keeps hearing whale’s phone notifications and thinking it’s their phone vibrating?

I think this episode was extremely ambitious, and incredibly well-meaning, but ultimately, not very good. I wrote a long review explaining my problems with it on my blog: http://youngcurmudgeon.ca/2018/10/25/this-episode-of-doctor-who-was-a-mistake/

Amazing! I guess we’ll just be using this from now on. Thanks for letting me know fellow Michael!

Dropbox works so much better thank you for the dropbox link

Poignant, informative episode, I think it's message is both timely and needed. Not convinced entirely real historical reactions are where this show should stand, but a good stab at informing and entertaining was made here. It's a beautiful one and I think the second or third best episode of the season. It's cleverly written and offers a different voice, which I liked.

Hey Fam! Thanks for letting me know. Starting to suspect there’s something going on with GD on their end. I’ve re-uploaded a few times for other videos in the same time span with no luck- going to try again and if not, use a different site. Sorry for the inconvenience, will update ASAP

Ep 2 and 3 link don’t work

Ward Junior

After just watching The scenes with Bill and the Blue man and him being like "oh youre a racist" cause in the future humans stopped being racist against earths current races but blue people.... cant have that. then cut to this season oh a white guy from the distant future has gone back in time to "fix" when things started going wrong for white people..... what?! as an extreme pessimist i like to at least think far enough into the future we would be past such petty primitive mindsets

Magus

This was one of my favorite episodes. Kind of surprised it got such a lackluster review from Fail.

Stephen

Just deleted them because they weren't working. Added a new one so it should take an hour or two to work! Sorry about the confusion Asrie!

Has this been removed or something? It says that Doctor Who S11 E2 is still uploading for the 2nd link & the first one still doesn't work either & for this it says both of the links don't exist.

I'm enjoying watching back these episodes alongside you with a fresh pair of eyes. The best one so far for the season. My criticisms I had at first watch still stand. Not particularly a fan Mandip Gill's acting in this episode. Some of her delivery feels incredibly lackluster at times. The villain Krasko is blah and Josh Bowman does absolutely nothing to help that character along. The poor writing is laid bare in the planning of the plot progression for this episode. Now the good. Jodie has begun to make the role her own. Sadly the changes to the style of the series were, for me, too jarring to really appreciate that the first time around. Bradley Walsh is as good as I thought he would be. The "I don't want to part of this" line is exceptionally delivered and broke my heart when I heard it again. Tosin Cole has had his moments so far and I like him in this episode. It'll be interesting to see how I feel about the next one on second viewing.

loved your reaction as always mate. this is definitely one of the better episodes from series 11. I loved that they had the balls to not hold anything back with the language and everything, because topics like these deserve that. i just wished they had the even bigger balls to make it a pure historical episode. that lame-ass villain from stormcage took some of the seriousness away imo. it'd be a bold move to make the Doctor the only alien in a NewWho ep for once.

Really good episode. Definitely one of my favourites of Series 11 so far. Very heavy with the realism and emotions during that time regarding Rosa and racism. The cat and mouse game between The Doctor and Kaskro was also interesting. My only issue is that Kaskro was eliminated too easily and it could have benefited with a more satisfying showdown. But other than that, I enjoyed it. The companions all had a role to fulfill and the emotions they went through when seeing the Rosa events for themselves was also quite moving especially Graham's reaction. The actress who played Rosa has appeared in Doctor Who before. She played a character called Abi in the 42 episode which was in Series 3. She did a great job in this episode. Really awesome job from the cast. I especially liked your reaction to the bus scene at the end.

Why is that

I still cant watch it even on the second link.

Really enjoy this episode- glad that they ‘went there’ when it comes to the language of racism and didn’t hold back. For me it seems as though they had wanted to do an episode on Rosa and then added in the villain as an afterthought for a plot device - the real villain is racism! Nice to see good reactions from the companions, actually discussing what’s going on and how it affects them - this season is a lot more character driven than previous ones.

Chris

Heavier story than what we're use to in Who but personally felt it works quite well- not a fan at all of the villain but he serves the plot, and the throwbacks to previous Who (Vortex Manipulator, Artron Energy, Stormcage) are welcomed!

WhoviVortex

Thought this episode is very good if you look at it for the story and don't focus too much on the sub-par "villain". He's really just there to progress it and make it more "Who-like" but ultimately, I think the purpose of this episode is to really help us connect more with the companions and give a little more depth to them, especially Ryan and Graham. They're scenes were done well and Rosa's were quite powerful too which makes it worth watching.

Choya

I'm with you. It's an extremely worthy episode;and the Doctor can't directly interfere ("You can't change history - not one line!";as the First Doctor said);but I wonder why they didn't get Graham to drive the bus? They made a big deal of him being a bus driver in the first story this season;yet nothing came of that. Imagine how dramatic it would have been if HE had to be the one to tell Rosa to get off the bus?!

Ian Smith

Also Artron energy has been mentioned before in the Sarah Jane adventures and storm cage was where River was imprisoned all that time :)

Felt very much like a Quantum Leap episode to me. Important subject matter obviously and seems to have reached people who may not have been aware of it, but didn't really work for me.

Mr K

I personally really like this story, the villain is a bit meh, but I really enjoyed the Rosa park scenes, especially the ending 🙌🔥
