The 2011 version does a lot of things better and correctly portrays some characters. But this part of the story was done so much better in the 1999 version. Introducing Karapica’s powers, his relationship with his teacher, the introduction of the other bodyguards and the mansion. The atmosphere, music, and details had me captivated. This version is passable, but the 1999 version truly immersed me.
