Personally I thought this Wasabi development would have been way better if it had its own episode before this exam. It just seemed extremely rushed and out of place to do it during a Chunin exam match

I think this epi gets too much hate. I REALLY wanted to see Iwabe fight but I like him as a character more after this. He's more than just that bully in the beginning.

Ooof that was a rough episode lol I get what they were going for but that's probably my second least favorite episode in the series. And also neither should have become a chunin. She didn't win the "fight" so they both should have just been disqualified

I appreciate Iwabes spirit in that "fight" and I adore him as a character. They did him so dirty. I wanted to see how he'd grown since we last saw him fight.

The fact that Wasabi and Iwabe got distracted from their fight by having an argument in the middle of it was something I honestly expected the moment I saw their matchup. XD They did the same in the forest of death. Although the topic of it wasn't what I anticipated, it also ended up being quite suitable. Iwabe especially felt right, after having his dreams challenged based on the fact that he's not from a top tier Shinobi clan. And him expending too much Chakra in trying to prove his point is very believable. XD

Iwabe sacrificing himself to help bring out the true potential of his opponent is so much better than if he had just simply spammed Earth Style at his opponent and won, and that was the entire match. It gives their characters so much more depth and dynamic, and overall I can see how this is setting up their future relationships with each other, that sort of friendly rivalry dynamic that push each other to greater heights. I believe next episode is more action packed, so I'm looking forward to that too.

All I have to say is that ppl were calling Wasabi’s jutsu a knockoff Susanoo 😭😭

Yeah this was...and interesting episode lol I get the message they wanted to get through and I like it but also I feel like this was the wrong moment or way to do it. If anything the redeeming point of this whole 'fight' was the damn Susano'o cat lmao that was so unexpected

My kick at the cat (haha, unintentional pun) is that Iwabe actually showed his resolve TO become Hokage, cause he Talk No Jutsu'd Wasabi and helped her regain her confidence just like Naruto. It does suck that Iwabe and Wasabi didn't fight but honestly, the fight wouldn't have turned out the way it did if they HAD just fought, because Wasabi's heart wasn't in it, so Iwabe's win wouldn't have been earned either. 6 of one, half a dozen of another. So I like the way it turned out, cause both characters got their time in the spotlight and character development, even if it wasn't in combat.

My favorite fights are Sarada VS Cho-Cho they both did amazing can't wait for your reaction for it and who knows who will gonna win ^^ also if I had to rank my favorites one then it might be 1. The next fight after Sarada & ChoCho then 2.Sarada VS ChoCho and 3.Inojin VS Houki.

I already said to others but this wasn't even "real" match like they wete arguing/talking 90% of the time (like you said it Jack!) and I get what they try to do with Iwabe helping Wasabi with her problems but they could have done it much better... like it's fine that they arguing but not in the middle of the match PLS! after or before the match is fine! they mentioned the Naruto VS Kiba fight and in the way it's similar but at least they fought. but I'm not THAT mad at it beacuse I don't really care for Wasabi and Iwabe is just okay to me.

I know some people didn’t like it, but I didn’t mind it. There’s always that one tournament fight that’s basically a gag/joke and this one was appropriate for it lol
