My personal opinion about the openings and whether someone should watch them is that they are shown by the show. If you weren't supposed to watch them and get hyped for things in them then they wouldn't be there. Jack being really good at guessing what is coming without much clues, could probably make some really accurate guesses. Without confirmation of his guesses, he wouldnt know if he's right so I dont think it really takes anything away from the experience.
