Next reaction series after Death Note discussion!
Added 2021-09-03 19:46:42 +0000 UTCHey all! Wanted to check in as we are nearing the end of our Death Note watch through within the next couple of weeks, and I wanted to give my thoughts on what exactly we would explore next!
So I know a lot of you are still requesting Hunter X Hunter and One Piece, but I am going to wait until the end of this year/beginning of next to start one of those two. That being said, I ALSO want YouTube to catch up a bit in terms of content (I haven't even started JJK or Death Note over there), so we are going to do one single PATREON EXCLUSIVE series over here that will never be on YouTube! I want YOUR input as to the series that is selected, so drop your suggestions down below. BEFORE YOU DO THOUGH, remember that this reaction series will never go to YouTube, so I cannot do anything TOO mainstream/requested (i.e. Tokyo Revengers, Black Clover, Mob Psycho, etc.)
A couple of possibilities that I have come up with include Samurai Champloo, Trigun, and Gurren Lagann!
UPDATE: Hey guys! I am looking up a lot of your suggestions, and am mostly narrowing them down to series that are 20-26 episodes, as well as trying to pick something from every genre. There will be a poll next week for the next series, so be on the lookout!

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, it's a bit of a weird title but all in all it's really good. There on episode 46 I think right now

2021-09-04 05:26:57 +0000 UTCRandom pick that I would personally love to see someone react to who didn't love it from childhood like me: Ginga Nagareboshi Gin. ( https://myanimelist.net/anime/589/Ginga_Nagareboshi_Gin ) It's an older anime made in -86 after a manga of the same title was running. Starts off with having humans as the main characters with their dogs in a fight against bears that keep killing people, specifically with one bear being extremely dangerous. Later switches to dogs as the main characters (At which point we start understanding what they're saying of course) and the humans are just an after thought more or less, ends with a massive fight an army of dogs fighting some bears to the death. I found exceptionally hard to describe this one in a way that makes sense and doesn't spoil the shit out itself. As I'm aware this is unlikely to win any popularity polls unless we're mostly asking Finns and Swedes of my age and slightly older+younger who also harbor some nostalgia for it since it happened to be popular here in Finland + Sweden etc. So if this random recommendation was enough to interest someone new to see it, great!

2021-09-04 03:55:52 +0000 UTCNoragami - Not too mainstream but very enjoyable (imo). Watching in sub will give you multiple familiar VAs from AOT - Levi's VA voices main MC Yato, Eren's VA voices another main MC Yukine, and Erwin's VA voices a prominent side character.

2021-09-04 00:15:03 +0000 UTCDon't know if ot would be considered too mainstream or not, but promised neverland is excellent and as of right now only 12 episodes, though I'm also unsure of if there will eventually be a season 2 for that show or not.

2021-09-03 21:40:02 +0000 UTCI must say it's difficult to advise an anime of only around 25 episodes since those I like the most are long anime or multi-season ones... so for self-contained anime in one season I would recommend Dororo (2019) japan historical fantasy, Heroic Age ( Mecha/sci-fi), and Zetsuen no Tempest (mystery/urban fantasy).

2021-09-03 21:32:25 +0000 UTCCode Geass is kinda POG but maybe keep it for later not just after Death note, not a good idea ! :D

2021-09-03 20:36:22 +0000 UTCOh, Trigun would be interesting indeed... But let me think. 26 episodes max, you say...hm. Akagami no Shirayukihime is one I'll always happily reccomend. There isn't as much action in it as in most of the Anime you've covered so far, but it makes up for that with a very smart and likeable cast, as well as an overall very believeable story and unfolding of strenghts, ideologies, music and setting. And the action that IS there, is very well delivered. Tales of Zestiria the X is an other good one that fits into 26 episodes. Though it's a bit easier to understand when you have played the game, that knowledge isn't required to enjoy the Anime. And being done by Ufotable, the Animation quality is top notch. That one definitely is more fantasy and has a good balance between action and calm moments. .hack//SIGN is a fun one too, though that is harder to get into on it's own without the companion games and novels. Not impossible, but odds of being lost are higher than with Zestiria. Anything from CLAMP is also always well worth watching. X - or X/1999 - would be the classic recommendation here. (Granted, I've only watched it in German personally, but I have no reason to doubt that the subbed original is any less impressive and memorable.) Lastly, I can't possibly not recommend my favourite Anime of all time: Kickers. (Or "Ganbare! Kickers!" for a subbed version. Not to be confused with an Anime called "Super Kickers"; that's a completely different series) That one might be a bit harder to find since it's an older one and has the majority of it's fan base in Germany and Italy. It's a sport Anime, yes, but it's a lot more than that as it deals with some very real problems throughout the series too and not every episode is focused on the sport. It's handled in a way that you can enjoy the characters, the setting and action even when you don't know much about the game itself. Some aspects did age a bit poorly, I agree, but there's a lot of good in it. Given that you enjoy the occasional character building episode in Boruto that deal with similar problems and growth, I believe you might like this one.

2021-09-03 20:23:38 +0000 UTCI will also jump on the Banana Fish wagon! Also recommend Yuri on Ice and the anime Given (2019).

2021-09-03 20:20:21 +0000 UTCYes that would be awesome if he reacted to that if he hasn’t already seen it but I don’t think he’ll do it too soon because it’s longer than he wants right now
2021-09-03 20:17:35 +0000 UTCTop pick I say Parasyte second Darling in the Franxx both are 24 episodes.
2021-09-03 20:16:37 +0000 UTCOh that's a good one! I second this request. it's not big but it's one of my favorite anime
2021-09-03 20:13:38 +0000 UTCNox quite an anime anime but if you haven't seen Avatar: The last airbender then I would highly recomend it, it's an absolute classic. If you're looking for something more like actual anime then I would say this relatively new-ish one called BNA: Brand New Animal

2021-09-03 20:06:54 +0000 UTCThis is a little bit different than everything you've watched so far but Your Lie in April! One of the best anime out there, only 22 episodes, and won't hurt you if it doesn't end up on YT!

2021-09-03 20:02:10 +0000 UTCPersonally I would LOVE to see you react to code geass. It’s kinda like death note in a way where it’s just a lot of big brain plays going on. It’s crazy and really enjoyable, not SUPER long either, only 50 eps

2021-09-03 19:50:54 +0000 UTCNot too mainstream.. or for YouTube 🤔 I would love for u to react to Banana Fish (I think u would like it), and unrelated I recommend watching Parasyte for YouTube in the future
Nyan Krunex
2021-09-03 19:50:49 +0000 UTCCowboy Bebop or Black Cover would be cool. One is 26 episodes while the other is in the 100s I think HxH would work better over OP. OP by the end of the year will be right at or on the heels of 1K episodes. That’s a long commitment, but it’s also you’re choice!
