Ohnoki's Will | Boruto UNCUT TIMER REACTION Episode 91

I like both dub and sub in Boruto, but man Steve Blum's performance as Onoki in the final scenes of this episode is phenomenal. It gives me shivers every time. One of the very few moments I wish Jack was watching the dub. Although then he'd be stuck after episode 140 :D. Damn, I hate the dub being 80 episodes behind.

"Mitsuki, you're better than that" Shouldn't discount him for being trashed by Ku, the guy who seemingly dispatched the Tsuchikage without much of a hassle. Mitsuki is no doubt among the top of the genin we've seen, probably top 3, but it'd be weird if he could handle singlehandedly take on someone who took down the Tsuchikage.

I like it when Jack waves back at them and answer their questions lol

Dawg, the stare when he turn his gaze to the camera when he says it's time for a showdown! that's so piercing! Someone should make an emote of that, like, "I know what you did at July 25"

kiddo

He has said he isn’t going to skip any episodes which I’m glad those next few are so adorable and I can’t wait 😁

[Edited because Patreon ate half the comment again lol] Finally, Mitsuki chose to pick up his own stone after he hesitated to do so back in episode 71. :D This episode has always been really interesting and informative on the subject of how Mitsuki sees himself and his position in their team. He has enough sense of his own individually to make his own choices, but despite all of the character growth he has experienced since he came to Konoha, his his value of his own self worth doesn't seem to have improved compared to episode 6; when he didn't really care whether he'd live or drown in that lake. The fact that he's trying to REASSURE Boruto and Sarada by basically saying that he's easily replaceable shows just how damaged a part of him is. Given that he already is a replacement for the first Mitsuki - Log - and that there are more being made to come after him AND given that he's aware of the curse mark on his heart (and likely it's purpose) it doesn't really come as a surprise. And with Orochimaru as a parent... That, uh, probably doesn't help either. XD' Even though he was happy that his friends came for him and regardless of his own feelings and their value in his life, he didn't seem to have realised that to them HE is the only Mitsuki; THEIR Mitsuki and that they came for him as a person and not for "Mitsuki" as a concept until Boruto literally had to spell it out for him. Which is probably the first time he has been given that personal worth; that "You are unique and can not be replaced" that should just be a very elementary thing - but not to him. If that's not a good example of Boruto being his sun to give him the light he needs to escape the darkness, then I don't know what is. (Also, the sound design in that whole scene is wonderful, with the way the music increases in strength perfectly at every single increase in importance of their converstaion until it is interrupted by Ku's appearance.) Also, big props to Sarada. She's stated before that she's got a few things to say to Mitsuki - a scolding most likely, questions and reassessments probably - but yet she stayed quiet during that whole moment; only smiling and nodding with encouragement. She has witnessed just how much Boruto was affected by the whole matter and we saw her looking at him in a thoughtfully a few times. So she likely understood that Boruto needed to say this - and that Mitsuki needed to hear it from Boruto more than from her at this point, based on her previous reactions in conversations she's had with our snake boy or even that time she picked up on that bright, fake smile when Boruto brushed Mitsukis worries aside too quickly. She'll have her moment to say what needs to be said, but she was mature enough to recognise that this wasn't it, given the limited time and the approaching danger. She has also grown a lot since those early days in the academy and I'm definitely looking forward to how that continues in future. :D And of course... rest in peace, Ohnoki. I do like how the arc concluded his character. He started this whole mess, in a way, because of how distorted his will had become and ultimately he is the one who finishes it too and sets things right again. Lives were lost, people were injured and a lot was destroyed in the village. So it's not all back to the way it was before, but life will go on and everyone who's had a part in this whole scenario will be able to grow from this. Team Konohamaru, Team Moegi, Sekki,... It's gonna a be a big milestone for all of them. (Lastly: I'm glad you spotted the fact that Mitsuki didn't go all out with his sage mode :D I know a fair few people missed out on that small but vital detail when the episode first aired.)

Yes I am glad u were able to realize that...that wasn't Mitsuki's Sage Mode Full Power...only partial. He doesn't have the horn, not a lotta green snakes behind etc 😂
