I think a case can be made that Naruto is the best Hokage. However, him sending an e-mail to Boruto is lowkey one of the worst things he did in the franchise, imo. This episode should highlight how important Shikamaru is. If Shikamaru wasn't there to keep Naruto grounded, Boruto would be that kid on a swing we saw in OG Naruto.
