Cause then that would be 5 years went by after the final battle betweent The Scouts and Zeke, and thennn the war starts which we saw just end after 4 years of fighting. I thought that was the timeline. I could be wrong, ima go back and check I guess, but it might be Eren and Reiners/Zekes final year.

2020-12-27 22:15:30 +0000 UTCTwo cool little things you might have missed this episode First, The scene were you see the blonde girl's interaction with Kenny is actually Annie. She is sneaking out of the cadet corps training grounds to try and get info on the Founding titan by following the military police who work closest to the king. This is why she is following Kenny. The whole Papa/Dad Story is just an excuse to get away because kenny found out he was being trailed by a random girl. This might of been a little confusing as there was no context around it in the anime versus the manga. Second, Is kind of a little easter egg. The story they heard from that man at the refugee camp right after they broke wall Maria about him hearing footstep outside his home and opened a window and saw a titan standing outside , was actually used by annie, bertholt, and reiner in season one after joining the cadet corps. They used it as background story so no one would be suspicious of them since they had nothing they could say about there background or where they came from. Now we find out where that story actually came from :)
