The thing with Erwin is that even thou he is more capable and has more experience than Armin, that's only when he's at his 100% fully dedicated, pushed by something, drunk on something just like Kenny told Levi. Erwin's drug was the basement. He wanted to die and let it end so many times and the only reason he didn't was his dream of reaching the basement. After being revived his dream would have ended right there with the basement. We don't know what would have happened after he achieved his dream. He probably wouldn't have the push and motivation anymore to move forward for humanity. More than that there's another thing related to "Regrets". You need to watch the "No Regrets" OVA and rewatch what Levi talks with Erwin before the suicide charge. Basically Levi made the decision for Erwin to "give up on your dreams and die". That's the moment when Erwin accepted to let it go, hence why you see in this episode in the flashback that Erwin told levi smiling "thank you".

2020-12-14 17:35:53 +0000 UTCThe entire episode had no music at all, only until the moment Erwin passes and Armin is reborn that they finally played such an emotional soundtrack which made that specific scene that much impactful for me. Season 3 Part 2 is one of the top rated season on several anime and tv websites/forums like MAL, IMDB, Reddit, etc.
