What Boruto did in this ep with Chojuro (when he said it was just a group of kid thugs causing trouble instead of the new 7 swordsman starting a war), is actually pretty saavy. I work in communications, and what we call that is "reframing the narrative." If the 7's plans did somehow leak out, they COULD have used that as a cover for the mess. Also, I've heard you comment now on a particular piece of music that's popped up in Boruto a couple of times. Nerd Alert: I'm also a musician who collects some anime music. I believe its the last song in this OST video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL5v0PEIrg4 I know a lot of people hate on Boruto. But I still enjoy it. And some of the music is better and more sophisticated than it was in Naruto.

He actually first appeared as the main villain of an OG Naruto filler arc (after Naruto vs Sasuke). He was also in the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist that ambushed Guy's team when Guy's dad sacrificed himself.
