I am like 6mths late to this, but this reaction was straight GOLD. This was the real moment I fell in love with Roy Mustang, whenever I hear the voice actor in another anime I scream COLONEL?! One of the best episodes is this one in my opinion, but the next one...gets me every time.

2021-03-21 16:57:12 +0000 UTCAlso I want to comment that Alphonse is so mature. It's as if he adopted a knightly attitude after being in a suit of armor 24/7. I can imagine his sleepless nights just being filled up with introspection, meditation, and going over scenarios in his head. When you think about it, he's spent 80% more time awake than anyone else.

2020-10-02 01:01:25 +0000 UTCAlso to go with Mustang's display of flame alchemy, here's some trivia: In the 2003 version it is explained that he can do this because his gloves are specially made with flint woven into them, which is why it creates a spark when he snaps. He then uses alchemy to transmute the air to saturate it with oxygen and direct the fire. However in Brotherhood they don't explain this and imply there are some secrets to it which is why he is the only one known to use it
