ugh I was enjoying watching the episodes for the first time with you, but since I haven't watched it I don't like being spoiled. It's too bad your titles and/or thumbnails always spoil the episode. Makes me sad but I guess I'll come back after I finish the series.

2020-10-05 04:54:51 +0000 UTCIt would have been much more difficult to pull of that way. The anonymous witness was just one part of the evidence they used against maria ross. If they had tried to frame his wife, they wouldn't have had any other evidence. It also would have been more difficult to attribute motive. It's much easier to find or fake a motive for someone who didn't have a personal connection with the colonel then to say his own wife did it. Also, keep in mind what their goal is in framing ross. They aren't just trying to throw off anybody. They are specifically trying to stop colonel mustang from looking into the case. Because of their connection to hughes' murder, if mustang keeps digging around, they are worried he might discover their plan and then they would have to kill him to. They don't want to do that because he is a potential candidate for sacrifice, as they said. So instead, they are trying to stop him from poking around by making him think it was ross. The thing is, mustang was very close to the hughes family and so he knew better than most people how much hughes and his wife loved each other. There is no evidence they could possibly present that would convince mustang that his wife did it, so trying to frame her would have been a huge mistake on their part. It only would have made him more suspicious and helped him figure them out faster.

Just gotta say FMAB is gonna beat your feelings till you're desensitized to having friends die. They're definitely not done pulling feelings and making the audience cry. Also, someone said earlier that it makes sense that the Homonculus would frame Maria Ross since she used her as a disguise to kill Hughes but how more twisting would it be if they used Hughes own Wife as a prime suspect since "technically" she pulled the trigger and it was somehow witnessed anonymously.

2020-09-23 15:09:08 +0000 UTCYes, basically they are trying to frame Maria Ross to keep Mustang from snooping around the Hughes case any further. If you remember, Envy (the shapeshifting sin) transformed into Maria Ross when he encountered Hughes in the phone booth just before murdering him. So it makes sense they would frame her, as shitty as it is lol.
