2025-11-25 18:57:46 +0000 UTCThey cut it down in the movie, but Araya was not dead because of his origin, but it will take him 200 years to recover a body since he has no spares left. For Shiki's autosuggestion, that is a Ryougi family thing. Ryougi, being one of the 4 demon hunter families in Japan, specializes in two things. One of them is autosuggestion by having a sword. By holding a sword in hand, someone from the Ryougi family can greatly enhance their body's strength, speed, skill, etc. Since Shiki was always using a knife before, she was holding back the whole time without using her family's art, only relying on her mystic eye. What she showed in the last bit of the movie are the true power of the Ryougi family bloodline. We have already seem 3 of the 4 demon hunter families in this series, and the other 2 being Fujou and Asakami. Fujou's lineage already ended, and Kirie Fujou was the last one left. Asakami already stepped away from being demon hunters and went into financing instead. That is why Fujino's father sealed her power and wanted to have her killed. (That is also why Shiki recognized Fujou's family in the previous movie, because the Asakami is a well known name in the demon hunter world.) The very last family will only be reveal in another Nasu work, Tsukihime. As for Counterforce, the novel explains that there are actually 2 kinds of Counterforce. There is the one mentioned in the movie, the collective subconscious of the human minds, and there is also another kind from the consciousness of planet Earth itself. Most of what you seen so far, including Heroic Spirits, Guardians all belong to the first kind. The second kind is rarer, but it appeared in latter plots of Prisma Illya manga. You would be able to see it if you continue to read the manga or wait for another movie release in the future. As for the story between Touko and her sister, that is the main plot for Mahoutsukai no Yoru. The Garden of Sinners, being Nasu's earliest work, actually sets up for most of the later Nasu works.

2025-11-22 00:43:09 +0000 UTCYeah, this movie is more of an Avant Garde kind of project. 1. Cornelius Alba actually appeard in Fate/Zero as a cameo. He was one of the mages that destroyed Kiritsugu's island. An unlike how the movie portrays him, he is actually really strong and talented. In the novel he can do whole walls of flames since that is one of his specialities. 2. The subtitles of this movie are kind of weird. So there are some concepts that may have confused you. One of those is when Araya confronts Shiki. There the subtitles put some weird things, but he actually was saying that Shiki's origin is "nothingness". 3. So the Vortex of Radix is just another way to refer to the Root. The beginning and end of all the existence in this "universe" that have the records of everything. 4. So the thing they called the "Derregent Force" is just another weird translation of the Counter Force. Basically Touko explains that the Counter Force is the will of humanity and the Planet to avoid destruction. The movie translates it like "humanity and the stars", but that is a wrong translation. The japanese literature often use the kanji 星 (hoshi) to refer to the planet. It can also be used for the word "star" therefore some people confuse the acutal meaning of what they are saying. 5. So the fact that everything is in chronological disorder is a thing of the movie. The Novel is much more straight forward and simple. Allowing the mystery to be more solvable since it give you the hints and information in order. 6. Speaking of the novel there are two thing that are not made clear in the movie. First of all is the fact that Shiki becomes stronger while holding a katana. That's because she use autosuggestion to become more aggressive. This is a thing since movie 2, but it was skipped. Second is what Shiki saw in that last dream when she parted ways with Tomoe. So she saw Mikiya coming to pick her while Tomoe was going with a white kimono woman to the other side. This is something important but the movie skipped it. Ok, now we go to movie 6. Movie 6 is a pretty bad adaptation, but I'll explain as to why when you react to that chapter. Also movie six is a long one, 1 hour and 30 minutes. So I gues I will see you on sunday or the next week!
